Eric Pulier, Founder, Brings New Life to Swag Bags
Last week at the 2021 Cannes Lions Festival, thousands of advertising and creative professionals representing some of the world's best-known brands gathered in a web-based spatial environment for the first time in history. Virtual Cannes Lions was a giant step in the evolution of the World Wide Web brought by Vatom’s SpatialWeb -- the industry’s most advanced and customizable web-based NFT metaverse.
In early 2015, Eric Pulier, proposed and lead the creation of the first NFT (called a "Virtual Atom" or "Vatom"). Today the Vatom, powered by the token VEE, is the most widely deployed NFT among Fortune 500 companies, and the only experiential NFT platform in the industry. There are over 30 million Vatom NFTs in circulation to over 2 million NFT wallets. Little did Pulier know that those NFTs would eventually be fueling one of the most recognized festivals in the world!
This year’s lineup of attendees, as reported on Forbes.com included actresses Gal Gadot and Reese Witherspoon; singer-songwriter Brandy; recording artist and actress Jennifer Hudson (NYSE:HUD); writer/director B Monet; comedian/actor/writer Patton Oswalt … and some of the most well-known marketing leaders from organizations like Procter & Gamble, Lego, General Mills (NYSE:GIS), Banana Republic, Canon, Burger King, Tesco (OTC:TSCDY), Unilever (NYSE:UL), Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), BlackRock (NYSE:BLK), Anheuser-Busch InBev, Frito-Lay, Cadillac, Disney+, Aesop, PepsiCo (NASDAQ:PEP), McDonald’s, Clorox (NYSE:CLX), MasterCard, Walmart (NYSE:WMT), GSK, Coca-Cola (NYSE:KO), Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX), General Motors (NYSE:GM), Mars, AT&T …and CEOs from Mattel (NASDAQ:MAT), Pernod Ricard (PA:PERP), Diesel. A veritable who’s who of the marketing world. And though it was not beachside physically, Cannes Lions did not disappoint, thanks to the Vatom Spatial Web platform which enabled the next best thing to being in Cannes.
One of the most memorable times at Cannes is the networking that takes place amongst the world’s most creative leaders. And to keep the engagement high, Cannes Lions partnered with Eric Pulier’s Vatom SpatialWeb where brands held meetings, networking events and showcased some of the inspirational work taking place by marketers around the globe. The new twist this year was the NFT drops that were sponsored by Vatom. During the final day of the Festival, Vatom sponsored one of the largest NFT drops in the world where attendees received gift cards including Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) and Amazon.
The Cannes Lions Festival is the premiere gathering of its type, bringing together the highest-level executives and creative leaders from the top brands, advertising agencies, marketing and media companies. In this year's gathering, top sponsors-- including Amazon, P&G, Nielsen and others-- explored and met each other in virtual pavilions and saw speakers in simulcast on performance stages on Vatom's Platform. Together, this is the largest confluence of individuals ever assembled in one spatial website.
It’s safe to say that the virtual fireworks at the close of the Cannes Lions Festival, the virtual yacht party, and the world’s first “living” NFT running around the SpatialWeb environment, is only the beginning of what the future boundary between physical and digital reality will look like.
