  • UAE’s Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al-Marri announced the nation’s Metaverse headquarters.
  • The headquarters will have multiple floors, each housing a separate department.
  • Signatories across the globe will no longer need to visit UAE physically.

The UAE Ministry of Economy has announced a new Metaverse headquarters. Minister of Economy, Abdulla bin Touq Al-Marri reportedly made the announcement on September 28 at the Dubai Metaverse Assembly, remarking, “This is not a proof of concept, this is our third address”.

Speaking to more than 500 delegates and 40 global firms, including Accenture (NYSE:ACN), Emirates, PwC, Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT), Meta, and Binance, Al Marri said the Ministry of Economy’s third office would offer an immersive experience for governments, global enterprises, and the public to connect and collaborate.

Moreover, the Ministry will be able to negotiate bilateral agreements with other nations in the metaverse thanks to the cutting-edge technology installed there, strengthening the United Arab Emirates’ position as a leading worldwide hub for emerging technologies.

Moreover, according to sources, there will be several floors in the headquarters building, each of which will house a separate department. Visitors will be able to collect a ticket that will prompt a “customer happiness center employee” to enter the Metaverse and engage with them.

According to the guidance of the UAE’s leadership, the ministry will be able to expand its use of digital services, and the new headquarters in Abu Dhabi will serve to supplement the ministry’s existing offices in Dubai.

Signatories no longer need to physically appear at one of their locations in order to offer their signatures on legally binding documents; instead, they need only visit the virtual headquarters.

The headquarters also features meeting rooms with screen sharing capabilities and an auditorium that can host virtual conferences and other events.

The development follows Dubai’s July 18 Metaverse strategy, which seeks to generate 40,000 jobs by 2030 and increase the number of blockchain enterprises by five times.
