NFT Gaming Platform, Splinterlands Sells Out First Chaos Legion Release

  • Splinterlands sells 1M packs in first phase of presale.
  • The second phase of the Chaos Legion presale starts December 8 till Jan. 12, 2022.
  • Splinterlands introduces a voucher airdrop system.

The Chaos Legion presale is now on the lips of every enthusiastic Splinterlands player. In fact, the amount of anticipation for the launch is growing each passing day. Splinterlands being a truly leading Play-to-Earn (P2E) NFT trading card game platform is dedicated to updating its users of the pack sales plans ahead of the Chaos Legion release.

According to Splinterlands, the first part of the Chaos Legion presale was a huge success with all 1M packs sold. As planned, the sale comes in three parts, this means there are still two phases of presale left. Following that, the second phase of the presale is expected to start December 8 while the general sale is scheduled for January 17, 2022.

To ensure each player is given the opportunity to earn vouchers, Splinterlands introduced a voucher airdrop system. The vouchers could then be used to unlock the ability to purchase packs if they were staking SPS. Besides, vouchers were trading around the $15-$16 mark. More so, during the time of the presale, as a result of staking, players earned around $20M USD worth of airdropped SPS.

Chaos Legion Phase 2 Pack Sale

For the second phase of the Chaos Legion pack sale, each pack bought during this phase of the sale will require one VOUCHER token. Note that it does not include bonus packs, just as in the presale. To elaborate, a total of 2M VOUCHER tokens will be awarded to players with SPS tokens staked in their account over 30 days starting on December 8th, 2021, and ending on January 6th, 2022.

Additionally, the quantity of VOUCHER tokens received by each account will be determined by their staked SPS tokens as a percentage of the total SPS tokens in the system. VOUCHER tokens will be distributed to SPS stakers at a rate of 20,000 per day starting January 7th, 2022.

Going forward, it can be used for various incentives and promotions in the Splinterlands game. Most exciting, Splinterlands reveals that all packs purchased during the second phase of the sale, including those acquired during the presale, will be eligible for both of these airdrop cards.

Chaos Legion General Sale

On Monday, January 17th, 2022, at 17:00 UTC, the Chaos Legion general sale will commence. The remaining 12 million Chaos Legion packs, as well as any unsold packs from the second part of the sale, will be available for purchase for $4.00 per pack. However, VOUCHER tokens will be required to acquire bonus packs with bigger pack purchases in a single transaction.

Also note that, even if not all 2 million packs are purchased during the second phase of the sale, the first two airdrops will still take place before the general sale begins. Furthermore, it will only be available to players who purchased packs before then.

Pack Purchase Modifications

Splinter also made some changes to how the pack purchase will take place. Henceforth, Chaos Legion packs will only be able to be purchased using Credits in the Splinterlands shop. These changes will take effect from starting with the second pack sale phase on December 8th and moving forward.

Splinterlands confirms that players who want to buy packs with DEC or SPS tokens can still do so by using those tokens to buy Credits on their account. But certainly, players will no longer be allowed to buy packs with DEC or SPS directly as it was during the presale.
