Nayib Bukele, the president of El Salvador, announced in a Twitter (NYSE:TWTR) post yesterday his Op-Ed for the next edition of Bitcoin Magazine. This comes after El Salvador became the first country in history to adopt bitcoin on September 7, 2021.

In the Op-Ed, El Salvador’s president analyzed cryptocurrency and bitcoin detractors. According to Bukele, detractors can be “separated into three groups.” These groups are people who “genuinely think it was the wrong decision,” people who “think it’s a good decision, but for the wrong reasons,” and people who “are afraid” of El Salvador’s decision to adopt bitcoin.

The president also goes on to turn the spotlight on the world’s powerful elites who stand to benefit if El Salvador reverses their decision to adopt bitcoin.

According to the written piece, these powerful elites “used to own everything, and in a way they still do; the media, the banks, the NGOs, the international organizations, and almost all the governments and corporations in the world.”
