Most of the Top 10 Cryptocurrencies Appear in the Red

  • XRP is currently trading at $0.475 after a 3.39% drop in price.
  • SOL is currently in the red by more than 2%.
  • MATIC was able to strengthen against BTC and ETH despite a price drop.

Most of the top 10 biggest cryptocurrencies by market cap are in the red for the day so far. Among these are Ripple (XRP), Solana (SOL), and Polygon (MATIC).

According to the crypto market tracking website, CoinMarketCap, XRP is currently trading at $0.475 after a 3.39% drop in price over the last 24 hours and after reaching a low of $0.4553 over the same time period. In addition to this, the crypto is also down more than 6% over the last week.

Over the last day, XRP also weakened against the two biggest cryptocurrencies in the market, Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), by about 1.49% and 1.29% respectively.

Another crypto in the red for today is Solana (SOL). Data from CoinMarketCap indicates that SOL is currently trading at $29.99 after a more than 2% drop in price over the last day. The crypto is also in the red by more than 4% over the last seven days.

The altcoin is currently the 9th biggest crypto in terms of market capitalization with its market cap of $10,743,524,416. SOLs’ 24-hour trading volume, however, is up by more than 5% to now stand at $705,904,627.

MATIC is another cryptocurrency that has had a rough 24 hours as it is currently down 0.71%. Despite the crypto being down for the day, MATIC is still up by more than 7% over the last week.

The fact that the altcoin has strengthened against BTC and ETH by 1.21% and 1.33% respectively could be another sign of strength.
