Litecoin Falls 12% In Selloff

Investing.com - Litecoin was trading at $150.063 by 21:44 (02:44 GMT) on the Investing.com Index on Friday, down 12.09% on the day. It was the largest one-day percentage loss since November 26, 2020.

The move downwards pushed Litecoin's market cap down to $10.509B, or 1.05% of the total cryptocurrency market cap. At its highest, Litecoin's market cap was $14.099B.

Litecoin had traded in a range of $150.063 to $171.826 in the previous twenty-four hours.

Over the past seven days, Litecoin has seen a rise in value, as it gained 24.3%. The volume of Litecoin traded in the twenty-four hours to time of writing was $13.073B or 7.30% of the total volume of all cryptocurrencies. It has traded in a range of $123.1533 to $181.0407 in the past 7 days.

At its current price, Litecoin is still down 64.27% from its all-time high of $420.00 set on December 12, 2017.

Bitcoin was last at $36,911.0 on the Investing.com Index, down 0.08% on the day.

Ethereum was trading at $1,069.72 on the Investing.com Index, a loss of 11.92%.

Bitcoin's market cap was last at $700.165B or 69.94% of the total cryptocurrency market cap, while Ethereum's market cap totaled $128.859B or 12.87% of the total cryptocurrency market value.
