Heroes of Mavia announces the close of its current seed funding round with $5.5 million. Skrice Studios is helming the blockchain-based play-to-earn massively multiplayer online strategy game. The seed funding was in order to gain funds to develop the game, attract talent, and grow its community.

Multiple well-established venture capital firms with an interest in blockchain gaming participated in the seed round. It was led by Binance Labs, with other investors including Genblock Capital, Yield Guild Games (YGG), Delphi Digital, Animoca Brands, Hashkey Capital, ExNetwork Capital, Double Peak Ventures, Mechanism Capital, Alameda Research, Merit Circle, and many more.

Heroes of Mavia is a P2E MMO Strategy Game that allows players to buy land, build a base, and battle other players. The goal of the game is to earn the main in-game token RUBY. Heroes of Mavia promises intricate gaming mechanics, exciting gameplay, and unique monetization features.

The game uses a dual token model: MAVIA and RUBY. MAVIA is the governance token of the game. It provides holders the ability to vote on important decisions, directing the future of the MAVIA game. Players will also use MAVIA for buying, selling, and renting NFTs on the MAVIA Marketplace.

While RUBY is the main play-to-earn currency of the game. Players earn the token by battling enemy armies and bases. They can use the token for over a dozen in-game purchases, NFT upgrades, skins, as well as decorations.
