  • Santiment posted a crypto poll on Twitter (NYSE:TWTR) to analyze the highly benefitted trading years among crypto traders.
  • The highest voted option was 2020-2022, marking it a highly profited range of years.
  • The years 2014-2016 showed the least vote.

The market intelligence platform Santiment posted a crypto poll on Twitter, to know from the crypto traders, disregarding whether they own it now or not, the year in which they had their “largest fiat-valued investment”.

Santiment provided four options with four-year ranges including 2008-2013, 2014-2016, 2017-2019, and 2020-2022. Among the four options, the highest polled was the last option, 2020-2022, with 62.5% votes.

An overall analysis of the market cap from the year 2010 evidently shows that the crypto has a drastic growth from the year 2020.

Market Cap from 2010

Obviously, 2020 was one of the best years for crypto traders with the high price of the currencies and the high trading volumes. Though the bearish period swept away most of the coins, most of them, including bitcoin and ether, show positive growth.

Secondly, the third option that showed the year range from 2017-2019 had 28.6% votes, indicating a reasonable number of votes. Thus, it was understood that in the years 2017-2019 too, traders benefitted, from having their investments.

Evidently, the chart of the market cap also shows such a trend. An almost stably lower line drawn till 2013 shows a slight variation from 2014, and from 2017, the graph shows a positive inclination, which reaches its peak in 2021.

Bitcoin was the only cryptocurrency that existed from 2008 to 2011, till the introduction of Litecoin. The initial value of bitcoin was $0 and by the end of 2010, it became $0.83. Gradually, the trading went on and in December 2013, bitcoin touched a high of $1,164.

The polling showed that from the year 2008 to 2013, 4.7% of traders had their highest investment. The hike in the price of bitcoin is evident enough to prove the reason for the votes.

Bitcoin Price Chart

The least voted year range was 2014-2016, with polling of only 3.5 %. It was in 2014, Bitcoin’s first price crash occurred. Bitcoin’s price crashed to $760. The next year too, bitcoin saw severe losses. The price dropped to $315 in 2015 which comprised a 241% loss.
