Coinbase Releases Blog Post of Q2 Listing Suggestions

  • Coinbase (NASDAQ:COIN) announced the list of tokens under consideration for the Q2 of 2022.
  • Cobie, a Twitter (NYSE:TWTR) personality, shares his insight about the listing suggestions.
  • The exchange plans to add more support for additional networks and an ecosystem for users.

Coinbase has announced a long list of tokens that could potentially be listed in the Q2 of 2022 in a bid to increase transparency.

In a blog post, the exchange revealed the list of tokens under consideration. However, other tokens may be under consideration but not specifically mentioned. Among those on their sight are 45 ERC-20 tokens on the Ethereum (ETH) network and five SPL tokens on the Solana (SOL) network.

Meanwhile, Twitter personality Cobie reacted to the exchange listing suggestions, mentioning three highly desirable assets.

According to his suggestions, Big Data Protocol (BDP) was the first desirable asset. This choice might have been built on the asset’s performance. CoinGecko shows that BDP had pumped 132% before the listing blog post.

Polkamon was considered in second place, as it launched its IDO on March 31, 2021, yet it quickly dropped by 94% since ATH. The project was recently rebranded to Polychain Monsters.

Lastly, Cobie suggested Student Coin, the first educational token designed at the world’s best universities, for wide personal, finance, start-up, and academic tokenization.

Moreover, the exchange recently introduced the experimental label for the newly listed assets that may apply to the new assets under consideration. Likewise, Coinbase aims to list every asset possible that meets the exchange standards for legal, compliance, and technical security.

According to the blog post, the exchange is working to support additional assets and ecosystems, Coinbase stated:

We are working to add support for additional networks and ecosystems as we aim to provide the greatest inventory of assets to our users.

At the time of writing, Coinbase has already supported three types of assets — native assets on their network, ERC-20 tokens, and SPL tokens. This came as a part of their plan to provide a wider collection of assets for their users.
