Chipotle to Spice It up with Free DOGE in New Crypto Giveaway Game

  • $200,000 worth of Bitcoin (BTC), Dogecoin (DOGE) and three other cryptos are up for grabs.
  • Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE:CMG) introduced crypto payments in June through its partnership with Flexa.
  • Customers will have the chance to hit the jackpot until Sunday, July 31st, on National Avocado Day.

Popular Mexican food chain Chipotle is looking to make this record breaking summer even hotter for customers. On July 25th, the Mexican food powerhouse announced the ‘Buy the Dip’ game. The interactive game will be held until the end of the month, with the National Avocado day on 31st marking the culmination of the Buy the Dip campaign.

‘Buy the Dip’.. Literally

“Buy the dip” is a popular phrase coined by many of the heaviest crypto whales in the game, and is generally used when drops occur in Bitcoin (BTC) price. “Buying the dip” essentially means taking advantage of the opportunity to buy a large amount discounted Bitcoin (BTC) for long term prospects.

However, Chipotle Mexican Grill has taken up the concept in the literal sense. Along with free crypto, customers will also be able to win 1-cent coupons for guacamole or queso blanco cheese dips. In other words, participants can potentially win up to $10,000 in crypto, but, in accordance with the game, will still have to “Buy the Dip”. Ultimately, anyone can receive 1-cent guacamole on Avocado Day by using the code: AVO2022.

5 Cryptocurrencies to Be Given Away

The crypto giveaway has a large prize pool worth more than $200,000. The prizes are to be spread throughout the week, with the largest gifts set to be dished out on Sunday, July 31st, known as National Avocado Day. Here are the 5 cryptocurrencies up for grabs:

  • Bitcoin (BTC) – Up to $10,000 daily, & $35,000 on Sunday.
  • Dogecoin (DOGE) – up to $3000 daily, & $11,250 on Sunday.
  • Ethereum (ETH) – up to $5000 daily, & extra $5000 on Sunday.
  • Solana (SOL) – $1250 daily, & a whopping $12,500 on Sunday.
  • Avalanche (AVAX) – $3000 daily, & $11,250 on Avocado Day.

Getting Ready for National Avocado Day

The ‘Buy the Dip’ game is not the first crypto project to come out of the well-established Mexican food chain. The company previously dished out over $100,000 in Bitcoin (BTC) for its National Burrito Day campaign.

Now, the DOGE Army can try for mouth-watering prizes too, as Chipotle has branched out beyond just Bitcoin (BTC). The company announced early June that it would accept crypto payments through partnership with Flexa, the collaboration has brought nearly 100 Altcoins to the table, including, but not limited to, Dogecoin (DOGE), Avalanche (AVAX), Algorand (ALGO), Shiba Inu (SHIB), The Sandbox (SAND) and others.

Finally, the Chipotle team claims that it wants to “build the next generation of Chipotle fandom by connecting with the Web 3.0 community” as explained by Chris Brandt, Chipotle’s Chief Marketing Officer. During these times of crypto strife, with the Crypto Fear & Greed Index constantly in “Fear” territory, it’s important to keep the community’s spirits up. Ultimately, the combination of spicy, delicious food and free crypto is the way to do it, according to Chipotle Mexican Grill.
