As the dog themed Dogecoin (DOGE) & Shiba Inu (SHIB) lead the memecoin race, one smart cat is close to making a dramatic entrance with $8.5 million raised in just a few weeks. Big Eyes Coin (BIG) has made waves this crypto winter, with the feline meme token netting $8.76 million from its pre-sale campaign.

The Irony of Memecoins In Crypto

There are a few reasons why the BIG project looks promising. First of all, the cat aesthetic is something that’s almost a sure bet, as cats are universally popular across the internet. The crypto freshman may therefore have a good foundation for a strong community, as already seen in Shiba Inu (SHIB).

However, the newcomer coin hasn’t launched yet due to extreme crypto market conditions, even though many crypto enthusiasts on Twitter believe BIG has heavy hitting potential. For now, it’s unknown when the presale ends, even though it’s already at round six.

BIG Versus DOGE

To take on the top dog memecoin, BIG has to offer something neither DOGE nor SHIB possess. Being environmentally aware might be one of the reasons crypto enthusiasts are flocking to the large-eyed cathouse.

Indeed, the fresh off the boat feline coin declares itself to be concerned about the environmental issues our world is facing. For instance, 5% of revenue amassed during pre-sale of BIG will be donated to ocean conservation. The Big Eyes Cat Crypto Cathouse claims that they are “saving the oceans to save the fish”, adding “so we can eat the fish.”

On the Flipside

There’s no info on when BIG is going to be listed on either CoinGecko or CoinMarketCap.
Some crypto analysts believe that the BIG presale is likely to be a scam.
That’s because the same mailing lists were used in two recent rug pulls – Firepin (FRPN) and Seesaw (SSW).
The link to Firepin (FRPN) was disclosed on Big Eyes Coin Telegram, but admins deleted it soon after.
