A Deep Dive Into Metaverser

Metaverser is the first multiplayer open-world blockchain game allowing players to create a custom 3D avatar based on their features. The gaming environment introduces play-to-earn models by mixing traditional finance and gaming, offering income-generating opportunities, and bringing real-world value to the virtual world and its online entertainment.

Metaverser is a free-to-play play-to-earn and rent-to-play gaming environment featuring various challenges, non-fungible tokens, and much more. Moreover, the virtual world will span various hubs one can access by traveling through ports, train stations, and airporters. It creates a sense of living and residing in a virtual world that doesn't look too different from the real world.

Within the gaming world, players can invest in industries, complete championship races, explore in-game mining, buy grocery stores, or venture into the world of advertising. A metaverse experience is designed to provide many different experiences to users, and every aspect of the world introduces a new way to make money.

“We deeply believe that the Metaverse is the future of the internet, as mixed reality headsets will hit the market very soon by industry leaders like Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL). We want to create a fun virtual world that users will enjoy to explore and play in. We are committed to delivering an entertaining experience for all types of players” - Shayan Salehi, co-founder and COO of TerraMetas Studios

How Does Metaverser Work?Creating a 3D avatar based on a person's features is the main selling point of Metaverser. To achieve that goal, the team relies on a mobile application and virtual reality technology. The mobile app will take a 2D image of one's facial features and convert it to a 3D model with the help of AI and deep learning. Not only will VR technology allow for creating life-like avatars, but it also makes the experience more immersive. Whether playing solo or with friends and family, virtual reality will enhance this virtual world's overall look and feel.

Moreover, when players traverse the Metaverser world, they will encounter various cars, weapons, and other items that provide access to different missions. Those missions may take players across deserts, coastal areas, nature, etc. The developers want to ensure there is always something to do in the game.

The Metaverser project uses various technologies to bring its immersive experience to users globally. Built on the UnityG Game Engine and various Libraries (Dlib, Mediapipe, Opencv, and Nethereum), the game will feature voice chat - via Dissonance - and crypto wallet support via MetaMask. Moreover, the project is cross-chain, as it leverages technology from Binance Smart Chain and EOS.

How To Play MetaverserNot much is known about the gameplay of Metaverser yet, but we do know the game features Lands & Houses, as the virtual world spans 11,1 million square meters of space. The community will start out in the Hombaba Island region during the game's initial rollout. Hombaba Island has many areas, ranging from suburbs to deserts and an airport. Players can acquire lands - or obtain them through the ongoing airdrop - to establish their presence in Metaverser.

Players who want to acquire land plots will need the corresponding NFT to the plot. These NFTs can be bought, sold, and traded through the Metaverser marketplace. Once a player acquires land, they can build their virtual home on it and decorate the interior through various in-game tools. Every designed home can be sold to other players and is not tied to a land plot, unless specifically made so.

To customize the look and feel of one's home, players can add various home appliances, tables, chairs, cupboards, and more. In addition, Metaverser users can craft new objects and sell them on the marketplace to be used in people's houses. All user-created equipment needs to be approved by the Curation Committee, a DAO-based structure allowing users and players to weigh in through voting power. Approved creations will become accessible through the Home Designed Software and priced accordingly.

The MTVT TokenPowering the Metaverser ecosystem is MTVT, the native token of this project. These tokens will be distributed to players as play-to-earn rewards, airdrop tokens, token rewards for staking, and in-game mining. The remainder is used for the private sale and IGO, and a portion goes to the developers and founders. The remaining 15% is for the Reserve Fund.

Metaverser players can convert MTVT tokens into common global currencies through the exchange office. Additionally, holding MTVT token gives users access to the DAO and its associated voting prospects.

Metaverser will have a public launch in Q4 2022.

How Does Metaverser Compare With Decentraland? While one may see parallels between Metaverser and Decentraland, both projects explore very different directions. They both aim to establish a metaverse presence through blockchain technology and non-fungible tokens.

One intriguing parallel between the two ideas is how they both revolve around purchasing and outfitting land plots in the virtual world. Whether one aims to build a home or a commercial space, there are numerous ways to customize the look and feel of one's plot. Moreover, players can resell these land plots on the secondary market. Metaverser will let users create homes independently of a land plot and sell them separately, which can be exciting.

However, avatar creation in Decentraland is rather rudimentary in the current format and doesn't necessarily resemble the real-life player. Instead, Metaverser aims to take a 2D image of one's facial features and base its 3D avatars on that data. Both options are viable, yet Metaverser's approach seems to focus more on immersion and realism, even if it may require external hardware to make the most of it.

The money-making aspect of both virtual worlds is also different. making money in Decentraland seems to focus on buying parcels, developing them, and then reselling them. Although other opportunities may become apparent, they have yet to be fully implemented by the developers and players. Instead, Metaverser will have various missions rewarding tokens and supports in-game mining. It is intriguing to see this concept grow and evolve, as both Decentraland and Metaverser may introduce other revenue-generating opportunities down the line.
