WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Joe Biden will announce on Thursday a requirement that all federal employees and contractors be vaccinated against COVID-19 or be required to submit to regular testing, CNN reported on Tuesday, citing a source with knowledge of the matter.

It doesn't surprise me that an investing comment section would be dominated by conservatives. It does surprise me that people who are smart enough to invest their money wouldn't be smart enough to stop political "loyalty" and group think from clouding their ability to think for themselves.
And it surprises me that a leftist (presumably) would advocate the merits of thinking for oneself. As I understand it, modern leftist orthodoxy requires that the institutions do the thinking for you and any dissenters are summarily judged to have motives based in ignorance or malice.

None of this makes any sense from a public health or legal perspective. Since COVID-19 vaccines do not prevent you from getting/spreading the virus, how do these mandates make sense to anybody? Why should there only be mandatory testing for unvaccinated people if vaccinated people are also spreading the virus? Even within the White House, there was a spreads of the virus from vaccinated people due to the Texas Democrats and Nancy Pelosi's office just in the past couple of weeks. Every other vaccine that is mandated, such as in public schools for children, is because it is the type of vaccine that prevents people from spreading the virus (i.e. once vaccinated, you do not spread the virus even if you are exposed to it). COVID-19 vaccines are not that type of vaccine, they are simply for symptomatic relief.
Further, the COVID-19 vaccines are not FDA-approved and they have given vaccine manufactureres legal immunity. I can see why many people are already contacting lawyers regarding these mandates, doubt they are legal. There is no precedence of this for this type of vaccine. There are a massive number of adverse events and deaths already reported in the VAERS system related to COVID-19 vaccines, more than every other vaccine in the system combined.

How long does the vaccine last? We don't know. Does it have any long term side effects? We don't know. How often do you need boosters? We don't know. Does it stop the spread? No. Does it stop you from getting COVID? No. Do you have to keep wearing a mask? Yes. Is it FDA approved? No. Did the FDA add a warning that the vaccine can cause heart inflammation and auto-immune disease more commonly in younger people? Yes. Can you sue vaccine manufacturers? No. Do young people have less risk with COVID than the common flu? Yes. SOUNDS GREAT! SIGN UP ALL THE YOUNG PEOPLE OF THE COUNTRY FOR THE EXPERIMENT! IN FACT GIVE THEM FREE DONUTS AND ICE CREAM TO INCENTIVIZE THEM AND FATTEN THEM UP SOME MORE!
in addition, all ELECTED federal officials will be tested for DEMENTIA on a regular basis.
