Not the stock price but who knows really. That said, I’m buying options to reduce my risk because i do think there is a chance $CCL undergoes bankruptcy due to debt. I’m talking about $17.50 1.22.22 call options. Right now they are about $4.95 which is $495 per contract. I’m going to start picking them up when that price falls below $4.50.20 contracts would net me $17k - $20k if this ever does hit Barcays target of $31 between now and 1.21.22

There isn’t ever going to be a cure for whatever you got. Try to develop a growth mindset. Analyst aren’t admitting they’re wrong. Barclays didn’t give it a solid buy rating either. They basically just said the risk might be worth it. She also said they might be early in this determination. So they definately left wiggle room eitherway.

I’m looking at accumulating 1.21.22 calls. I think that this will go < $10 before the end of year though and am waiting for the right premium $4 -$4.50 or lower.

Barclays only gave them an over-weight rating. Basically between hold and buy. If the analyst was confident she would have given it a buy rating.

More drivel from the Oracle of His Parents Basement. It’s going to be years (if ever) for CCL to return to its pre-pandemic valuations. The financial & energy sectors will recover before travel. Amongst travel stocks, cruise lines (aka leisure travel) will be among the last to recover since it is non-essential and their debt burden is increasing every day.

If GM can go bankrupt so can CCL. Bankruptcy doesnt mean it vanishes. It does mean anyone holding its stock gets left holding the bag. If GM can go bankrupt so can CCL. Bankruptcy doesnt mean it vanishes. It does mean anyone holding its stock gets left holding the bag.

I think you under estimate the burden of debt. It’s likely that they eventually go through bankruptcy in order to restructure their debt. It wouldnt be the end of CCL but you wouldnt want to be holding any if its stock either b/c that would go to zero. This is basically a zombie company right now.I think you under estimate the burden of debt. It’s likely that they eventually go through bankruptcy in order to restructure their debt. Too big to fail?! I’m sure you don’t know what that means. Too big too fail would mean systemic risk to the rest of the market. If any cruise line failed the world wouldn’t blink. This is why they would be allowed to fail and not be bailed out. They pose no systemic risk.
