Agree with your conclusion that WB is an incredible investor, but you did not mention that this analysis only involves the PUBLICLY TRADED portion of BRK's portfolio. No Geico, no BNSF, no Dairy Queen, no See's Candy, etc... Unfortunately, the trick in properly assigning a valuation to BRK is to assess the value of it's wholly-owned subs.

I thought it was odd that gold wasn't really up and neither was VIX on Friday, given that markets sold off again. Technicals are showing clear bullish divergences and mkts are set up for a HUGE bounce, prob on Wed's Fed mtng or even before.

You are usually really great in your analyss, but I totally disagree with this one. There is no housing bubble. There is a shortage of supply due to builders learning their lesson in 2006-07 re overbuilding, and now there's a labor shortage which will cause supply to lag demand for the foreseeable future.
