You folks know nothing about inflation. My first mortgage in 1979 was at 14.3%.
U.S. prosecutors investigating potential White House 'bribery-for-pardon' scheme Dec 02, 2020 1:29AM ET
I should have seen this one coming. The man is the only one with presidential pardons to sell, or so he thinks. Pardons are acts of clemency, not acts of corruption.
Trump vows defense bill veto unless internet liability shield scrapped Dec 01, 2020 10:23PM ET
The only thing I agree with Trump about is repealing Section 230. Here, though, Trump is just looking for a license to sue FB and other platforms where criticism of him appears.

Biden win lifts world stocks to record peak; dollar fades Nov 08, 2020 9:24PM ET
Agree. Fed monetary policy conveniently abandoned control of inflation for employment numbers as basis for monetary policy. I lived through the inflation on the 1970's, which topped out over 18%. My first mortgage was at 13.5%. Not fun.
VIX, Currencies Suggest Equities Euphoria Could Be Short-Lived Nov 05, 2020 11:28PM ET
Good write-up. There was some reporting that the market was happy about the prospect of the Senate remaining Republican. Now we have two run-offs for Senate in GA on January 5. That's probably the best state for Democrats to have those run-offs. To the extent the market priced in a Trump win, that's quickly slipping away.
U.S. presidency still undecided; Biden opens leads in key Midwestern states Nov 03, 2020 3:21AM ET
Most voters have already cast their votes. Stick a fork in Trump. He's done.
Twitter, Facebook outline action on posts claiming early U.S. election victory Nov 03, 2020 1:36AM ET
I don't want to hear from Trump on Twitter after the election. The only value to me of having Trump on Twitter was to generate Tweets that can be used against him in court. Mission accomplished. Now delete Trump's account. No American president should ever use Twitter again for any reason.
Shares rise, dollar sinks as investors bet on clear Biden poll win Nov 02, 2020 9:39PM ET
Robinhood investors buying the dip... the short-sellers' best friend.
U.S. judge weighs bid to void 127,000 votes cast at drive-through sites in Texas Nov 02, 2020 4:06PM ET
Federal judge throws Republicans out of court. Absolutely disgusting how Republicans tried to steak the election in broad daylight.
Texan Republicans lose bid to halt drive-through voting but fight continues Nov 01, 2020 6:22PM ET
Donald Trump said himself that if "everybody was allowed to vote, no Republican would ever be elected again."

Doubt that very seriously. Looks to me that the market has priced in a Trump win, and that ain't happening. Doubt that very seriously. Looks to me that the market has priced in a Trump win, and that ain't happening.

Dow Dives as Bulls Sink Amid Tech Wreck Oct 30, 2020 2:02PM ET
Panic selling will accelerate. It's the most studied bit of market psychology. I wonder whether the market priced in a win by Trump. We'll see next Wednesday morning, after Trump bites the dust.
Apple shares fall as iPhone sales dip weighs on record quarterly results Oct 30, 2020 1:54PM ET

Fed reduces loan minimum, easing terms for Main Street program Oct 30, 2020 1:51PM ET
Take Jay Powell's checkbook away. Another Trump sycophant, his job has been to keep bankrupt companies operating to create the appearance of a healthy market. Worst Fed Chair in my lifetime.
Chart Of The Day: NASDAQ Set For Bigger Correction?  Oct 30, 2020 1:47PM ET
The worst is yet to come. RH investors have one creed: buy the dip. Unfortunately, that strategy defies the old wisdom not to try to catch a falling knife. It's great for short sellers, though. Last March, things were infinitely better than today and the NASDAQ was at 6500.
