Bitcoin bounces above $35,000 despite increased regulation Jun 28, 2021 10:16AM ET
Bitcoin is not a coin.  It is a code-protected microdot.  The pictures you see are of three tokens.  It's misleading for Bitcoin to call itself what it does.  The whole thing is hype and marketing.  Those who criticize gold because you can't eat it find Bitcoin even worse.  Not only can't you eat Bitcoin but you can't even melt it down and make some decent jewelry.  When you give up your cash for a Bitcoin where did it go?  If some influential personality says something about his company not accepting Bitcoin for payment of his product, down the value goes $35,000...  Bitcoin can go to zero too.  Fool with it if you want, but I'd have some allocated gold first before exposing myself to the high-risks of Bitcoin.  It is highly volatility, where the value of your investment is on a wave that goes up and down depending on the market for code-protected microdots, which are worth only what people will pay for them.  The Bitcoin token may or may not be a good conductor of electricity.
Bitcoin price lower after Musk tweet May 17, 2021 1:00AM ET
Crypto tries to be what gold is, but crypto is not a coin! Crypto is a protected microdot good for what? I don't see crypto as a hard asset - do you? We are beginning to see, that unlike commodities, crypto takes wide swings similar to what BTC just did. You can bet the group of whizz kids that thought up their crypto brands are astonishingly surprised that people are buying their brainchild. The young tech lovers soak it up as hip, the way of the future, without realizing the risk. Remember, several countries have outlawed crypto to protect the unknowing from the risk. Indians love gold because they can wear their wealth in the form of beautiful art work creatively constructed as jewelry. What can you make with your microdots? The crypto minters know what they bring to the market, while they count on the public to consume their glitter and glitz. Granted their is a need for more portfolio holdings to diversify wealth, but as A. Lee pointed out, crypto doesn't seem to be very reliable.
U.S. stocks surge in recovery; dollar, bond yields dip May 14, 2021 1:28AM ET
Do we take crypto or don't we?  We do - great - we don't - we don't...  There's no such discussion when it comes to gold.  Everyone takes it.  When a loaf of bread costs an unheard of amount of US dollars what will your gold be worth?   If you have crypto you have to find vendors that sell stuff you want that have trading in crypto worked out...  Can I have a coin for 50k please?  There must be a group of geeks continually laughing in a back room somewhere.

Bitcoin - a prudent store of wealth - eh?  Down nearly 25% in a matter of days...  Nice store of value - the new gold...  Yeah take the risk if you want to.  There was a headline a while back saying it can go to zero...  I'm not touching it.  Buy crypto if you want, but please have gold first.  If you are buying crypto for the attributes that belong to gold you don't have it right.  Gold doesn't whiplash like that - and on and on why gold.  Considering where things are at I think $1850/ounce for gold is very cheap.
Dow Snaps 5-Day Win Streak as Tech Wreck Dents Bullish Stampede May 11, 2021 3:19AM ET
First, the picture is ridiculous.  The DOW just hit an intraday, all-time high and this guy looks like it crashed 2000 points.  Of course there are fundamental reason for this guy's expression...  It might have something to do with the double standard for good credit where the debt to income ratio for individuals is one thing and for the US government is another...  Yes - sickening...  Secondly, if this is really an "asset inflationary proposition" gold at $1850/ounce is very cheap.  Think about it!

Take the risk with crypto if you want to, but gold is probably a better idea.  I'd have gold first if I were you - or for anybody for that matter. Take the risk with crypto if you want to, but gold is probably a better idea.  I'd have gold first if I were you - or for anybody for that matter.
S&P, Nasdaq close at record highs on optimism about Biden stimulus plan Jan 22, 2021 1:22AM ET
, The national debt went up more under the Obama Admin than all of the previous Presidents combined!  Obama Care took away the right of US citizens to NOT have health insurance.  That's a huge loss of freedom, with the gov saying they know what's best for you - that's socialistic.  There's no rant here..., The national debt went up more under the Obama Admin than all of the previous Presidents combined!  Obama Care took away the right of US citizens to NOT have health insurance.  That's a huge loss of freedom, with the gov saying they know what's best for you - that's socialistic.  There's no rant here...
Dow Eases From Lows as Biden Restores Stimulus Hopes  Jan 09, 2021 5:24AM ET
Pres. Trump targeted 1/6 for demonstrating election certification. If he were a politician he would have cautioned for things to remain peaceful. He didn't do that. If he were brilliant he would have overdone that, but he didn't. Alas, he is a businessman. Pres.(arguably) Elect Biden, if he were brilliant, would tell the the people: no stimulus - I want our citizens to sell their Bitcoin, and tech stocks - the market ought to settle around 14,000, but there will be plenty of money in the hands of our people to take care of one another - too bad about the pandemic, but that's life. We'll get through it, and we won't have to borrow a thing. He didn't say that, he said, let's deficit spend. He is a can kicker, too weak to bear the financial impact of the pandemic. Who cares if the the market is 14,000 or 32,000 so long as we get through?  No difference except the former is healthy, the latter is destined for a currency crisis, (the longer it takes the worse it will be.)
Dow Eases From Lows as Biden Restores Stimulus Hopes  Jan 09, 2021 4:32AM ET
My parents were children during the Great Depression. This affected their lives, made them reluctant to waste anything and very watchful of their credit. Today, instead of deficit spending why aren't we allowed to suffer a consequence inline with the severity of the crisis? This is a time to tighten our belt not to deficit spend. Can't we go through a very difficult time? There is an abundance of wealth within our nation that can be liquidated to meet this crisis. This is a time to use that wealth. Times like this is what that wealth is for. Have we raised a population of greedy, spoiled wimps that can't liquidate wealth when they need to? Instead, we deficit spend and leave our wealth in place. People like Joe Biden think there will be no consequence for raising the national debt even more. What happened to getting through without dependence on government deficit spending? Good credit typically requires sacrifice. The world will soon be informing the USA: account overdrawn.

, Crypto may be flawed, but what there surely is in crypto is some risk. There's price risk. Besides that, there's the possibility of regulation and hacking, Also, what if your crypto company's key personnel unexpectedly die? How do we know that all operations to the crypto company you are invested in can go on without the know-how of the founder and ground-floor engineers? Suppose the founder and all the key company-startups are at a meeting that is the victim of a ******attack? Say some member of a political party that is for love, peace, and tolerance decides the concerned crypto company is the oppressive political-elite and lashes out at them with a bomb. *******- how's the health of your crypto investment? It could be a plane crash or a car accident... Who knows, perhaps unlikely, but it's a risk. Gold has none of that. Please have gold before crypto. If you have crypto and no gold you should take some profit and fix that. Being careful is hardly ever a bad idea., Crypto may be flawed, but what there surely is in crypto is some risk. There's price risk. Biden Confirmed, Trump Backs Down; Jobless Claims Eyed - What's up in Markets Jan 07, 2021 7:38AM ET
Initiating force was a bad move for the GOP.  Trump goes quietly as a result.  Regardless of the likelihood of a raise to a $2000 stimulus, market optimism may be non-existent.  Too many people know Atlas will shrug under greater taxes and increased government regulation.  Who wants to go to work and make a profit when the taxes will be greater and big brother will be right there telling you how to do your job?  It's bye-bye prosperity.  Man's nature is not altruism.  It's keeping the fruits-of-your-labor that motivates people, and is what made America the world's #1 economy - in a word freedom.  Anyone who's a democrat just doesn't get that.  If you own gold, then cryptos might be good if they don't get regulated or hacked.  The dollar is being debased 'till we have a currency crisis.  Owning physical gold is today's best insurance.  Please get some if you have none.  I wouldn't trust any financial advisor who isn't recommending at least 10% gold/gold securities in your portfolio.
U.S. House approves $2,000 coronavirus aid checks sought by Trump Dec 29, 2020 12:41AM ET
Gold, Gold and Bitcoin, but not just Bitcoin.  There's more risk in Bitcoin than there is gold.  Cyberspace or precious metal you can hold in your hand?  Gold is a must, Bitcoin is good along with gold.  IMO, it's a mistake to own Bitcoin without owning some gold to balance out your portfolio.  With Bitcoin you still have a middle man.  Owning physical gold eliminates the middleman and you exchange directly with the vendor of your choice.  Because this is the nature of real money, gold's insurance character surpasses everything else that's out there. Gold is cash personified.  Bitcoin needs the internet.  Bitcoin enthusiasts: make sure you have some gold first!

,  The President has not conceded.  I hope the Supreme Court here's his case, and I hope he gets another four years.  Won't be so bad if Georgia elects Republican senators, but I dread the loss of individual liberty a Biden administration means, even if it is only minimal due to Georgia senators remaining GOP.  I think you believe too much of what your read in the newspapers Peter...  The left and the media are working together to take away your freedom and it seems that's OK with you.  Many think you ought to wake up!  You might become a slave to the state before you know it if you don't.  Government is not the answer to our problems - Freedom is.  You should be fighting to keep government small, not supporting the left who thinks they know what is best for everyone and want the power to make laws for the greater good.  You say Aww cop on?  About you cop on...,  The President has not conceded. About you cop on...

Add to that the lowest unemployment for African Americans and Hispanics ever recorded since the beginning of keeping that data, and all the deregulations that preserve freedom, including repealing Obama care which made it illegal to chose NOT to have health insurance.  Trump has fought to keep America free and Biden wants more government control. If you love freedom, you can't be on the left - WAKE UP!!!

,  The Trump legal team just has to establish a case in one court somewhere, and then things are on the move.  I think it is probably normal to have to approach a lot of courts before you find one willing to accept the case.  For the sake of America's election integrity in the future, it is good news they haven't stopped trying.  Voting too early is a problem.  Mail-in ballots are a problem.  Transparency, and balanced representation in the counting process, is a problem.  Be thankful the GOP is calling out the cheating.  Whatever the outcome we should be better for it further down the road.,  The Trump legal team just has to establish a case in one court somewhere, and then things are on the move. Whatever the outcome we should be better for it further down the road.

The GOP is fighting to restore integrity to the election process.  Don't you want to know what was done illegally?  Let the process happen.  Do you think there is some point that you would admit there was too much fraud?  I'm sure some judges have a line that can be crossed.  We just don't know if there is enough to disqualify the Democrat ticket as winners or not.  This thing has to play out.  Try not to be closed, and be willing to unite when it's over.  There are time limits...  It can go either way.  Is that too hard of a truth for you to stare at straight in the face?
