it seems like these 10% bounces come once a month now but it still ends up crawling higher in the long run, BTC's up 175 on the month and up 875 for the year.

moving average is a pretty solid guideline in the industry, as long as BTC is above the line, you hold, below the line you sell pretty simple concept. trouble is, industry knows that and I've seen people sell when price moves below MA only to miss out on a good rally.

I'm curious how many people on this feed use the technical indicators provided on this website. I see the strong buy recommended by investing.com with weighted MA all green except 5 day so.. why would anyone think they should short now? just curious what MA timeframe people use.
Fed Intervention Keeping Treasury Yields Low And Fueling Bullish Stock Market Aug 25, 2020 10:45PM ET
it's as if the markets being engineered (I won't use the term manipulated) to drive people out of bonds and treasuries and back into stock. I was hiding out in bonds for awhile but had to rotate into stocks, and with money market s paying a half a percent, there's literally no place else to park your investments, you have to be in stocks. it's not going to be pretty when the tech bubble bursts.
Pelosi, Mnuchin open door to narrower COVID-19 aid through 2020 Aug 09, 2020 9:26PM ET
8.1% of all mortgages are in forbearance now and the moratorium on evictions won't allow landlords to make bank payments. Mnuchin is the foreclosure king so I think whatever happens in the next stimulus will be designed to cause additional foreclosures, they must be drooling at the prospect of buying a lot of properties on the cheap after the election.
Dollar wobbles as investors grow anxious about pandemic toll on U.S. economy Aug 02, 2020 10:33PM ET
it's probably short covering, as long as the Fed inceases the debt to the balance sheet, the US dollar will fall.
Bitcoin Aug 02, 2020 10:25PM ET
I've seen this price action in the past, they do a 10% move down that forces the stop losses to sell before a really sharp move higher. we may see a move to 14-15k in the coming weeks. I'd think the next time people short at 12k again they may be in for a big surprise to the upside.
U.S. Dollar – Will Buyers Return in August? Aug 01, 2020 10:16PM ET
As long as the Fed balance sheet keeps adding trillions in debt, the US dollar will continue fall.
The U.S. election is getting ugly - and investors are getting nervous Jul 31, 2020 1:49PM ET
I use GDP as a baseline, when GDP is up I'm confident when it's down I'm in bonds. to be in the market when GDP plunges 32.9% is insanely risky, add in the unemployment numbers and the uncertainty of what crazy thing Trump will tweet next and its about as risk-on as it gets.
U.S. Economy Shrinks by Historic 32.9%; Jobless Claims Rise Again Jul 30, 2020 6:28PM ET
as long as the Fed is backstopping the stock market with 80 billion a month in liquidity, US debt will rise and the US dollar will fall. what's the dollar going to look like after another year of the fed adding trillions to their balance sheet?
Trump doubles down against mail-in voting, calls for immediate 2020 election results Jul 30, 2020 6:21PM ET
what we need is a phone app that we can vote on, use block chain app so votes will be kept forever and can't be changed.
Billionaire Steyer moves U.S. youth voter turnout drive off campus and online Jul 30, 2020 4:08PM ET

S&P dips on grim data; U.S. election uncertainty, earnings Jul 30, 2020 3:58PM ET
Did anyone mention GDP plunged 32% and unemployment added another 1.4 million today?
Bitcoin Jul 30, 2020 12:15PM ET
you can buy into Bitcoin without buying BTC, there's a stock market symbol GBTC that gives you exposure to BTC. GBTC is now buying so much BTC that mines are having trouble keeping up with the demand.
Congress, White House struggle to find deal on new coronavirus aid Jul 28, 2020 8:18PM ET
almost all the jobs created in the past 10 years have been in the service sector, and those are the ones most affected by the virus. there may be some jobs available but none that the unemployed are qualified for. it's all well and good to say you can pay unemployment insurance because it's a disincentive to working but where are the jobs?
Chart Of The Day: Now's The Time To Short Gold Vs. Bitcoin Jul 28, 2020 12:05PM ET
correction, the Fed is adding 80 billion per month in liquidity, not per week.
Chart Of The Day: Now's The Time To Short Gold Vs. Bitcoin Jul 28, 2020 12:03PM ET
as long as the Fed is backstopping the market with 80 billion a week, their increase in debt will cause the dollar to fall. the more trillions of dollars the Fed adds to their balance sheet, the less the US dollar is worth. so gold and BTC is a good hedge but gold is topping out and BTC could double from here to the end of the year.
Day Ahead: 3 Things to Watch for July 28 Jul 27, 2020 8:21PM ET
The more the Fed increases the debt on their balance sheet, the lower the dollar will go and the better gold and BTC start to look.
Florida coronavirus cases surge for fifth day as Trump pledges outbreak will be under control Jul 19, 2020 10:07PM ET

Week Ahead: Stocks To Hit Resistance As Sentiment Flips Between Risk, Safety Jul 19, 2020 9:58PM ET
you mentioned the stimulus package may already be priced in, would that be the 3 trillion House package, or the 1 trillion Senate package? If only 1 trillion gets approved will we see a buy on the rumor, sell on the news scenario?
Wealthy donors help Biden best Trump in second quarter U.S. election fundraising Jul 16, 2020 6:36PM ET
Trumps directive to eliminate public information about the corona virus by only allowing data to come from the Whitehouse and not the CDC reminds me of when the Kremlin disseminated false data about the Chernobyl meltdown, it's the closest thing to Communism I've seen in our government. anything the Dems have done pales in comparison to blocking public knowledge for the good of the state. sounds like it's right out of Putin,'s playbook.
White House Says Stimulus Bill ‘Must’ Include Payroll Tax Cut Jul 16, 2020 6:27PM ET
a payroll tax cut sounds nice but would be a total disaster for social security. it'd add some capital for a couple of months and would give the market a short term jolt but after the election, the social security system would be in shambles.
Why The Current Weakness In S&P 500 Is Deceptive Jul 16, 2020 6:19PM ET
perfect storm coming, it's been all about the Fed offsetting the effects of corvid with 80 billion a month in liquidity going into the market every month. now the CDC numbers are being redirected to the Whitehouse presumably to shave the numbers which will fail bigly. the real virus numbers will be revised down causing the fed to pullback support, then we'll have millions of unemployed with no stimulus, reduced fed liquidity and a sickened population. buying small caps now could mean losing 50% later. there's no leadership, everything the current administration is doing is to prop the market up for a couple more months but the end result will be disastrous for small caps.
U.S. Supreme Court rebuffs Trump's immunity claim, lets prosecutor get financial records Jul 09, 2020 11:26AM ET
it seems a little ridiculous that a state AG couldn't get a tax return in an ongoing investigation, the only reason the financial records are being withheld are because there's something to hide.
Chart Of The Day: NASDAQ Braces For Correction After Record High Jul 08, 2020 3:35PM ET
don't see the h&s pattern mentioned, looks like it's just been rising since March. mostly on Fed buying 80 billion this month, ends on the 11th, I'd expect correction by Monday, with slow grind highest during earnings season.
