Biden Tax Plans, Intel Worries, PMIs and Russia Hikes - What's Moving Markets Apr 23, 2021 12:18PM ET
Brian, you have a point, but the difference is that investors' capital gains tax is only paid when they dispose of their shares, which could be years later. Corporate tax, however, can be collected every year. In addition, the vast majority of public corporate shares are held in non-taxable retirement accounts, so that further weakens your argument that "it makes no difference if large corporations don't pay any tax".
White House says U.S. will set 'a large cap soon' for refugees Apr 20, 2021 8:02PM ET
Felipe, Refugees, by definition, are not "illegals". Furthermore, since they are not citizens and therefore cannot vote, what difference does it make whether they "like Democrat policies" or not? And if "Americans dislike their policies" then why is there a majority of Democrats in the House, an even split in the Senate, and a Democrat Administration? Your logic needs work.
U.S. Supreme Court brings end to another Republican election challenge Apr 20, 2021 5:03AM ET
Tell us where it says in the Constitution that you can't change the deadline for receiving votes later as long as they've been cast by voting day? And it's not 'cheating' when votes for either party can use the law change equally - which they could in this case. If they changed the law to say only votes for Democrats can be received 3 days later, then you could claim it was cheating. But that's not the case.
White House says Congress must act on police reform amid string of U.S. shootings Apr 20, 2021 4:55AM ET
Oh yes, you mean like how Trump made up a "national emergency" at the border so that he could use it as an excuse to reappropriate (steal) congressional funds to build his useless wall?
Bitcoin dips under $60,000 — What's pulling down BTC price? Apr 18, 2021 11:21AM ET

Power companies urge Biden to implement policies to cut emissions 80% by 2030 Apr 17, 2021 4:09PM ET
You mean like "the Deep State" you believe in?
U.S. Treasury eyes corporate tax system as way to tackle climate change Apr 17, 2021 3:51PM ET
Mufflers don't filter out pollution. They keep cars quiet by muffling the sound - hence the name. Can't you figure that out instead of...? However, just because developed countries use catalytic converters (which you probably confused a muffler with), that doesn't mean we're "not the ones polluting".
Biden calls U.S. gun deaths a 'national embarrassment' after Indianapolis shooting Apr 17, 2021 3:39PM ET
Umm, sure Danny. That's why we see mass shootings happening in every other country that had 'lockdowns' too, right?
Biden calls U.S. gun deaths a 'national embarrassment' after Indianapolis shooting Apr 17, 2021 3:36PM ET
Darryl and Danny, since when do people use spoons to make others obese against their will? Or to make multiple people obese in a few seconds of rage? Nice try, but failed logic.
Biden calls U.S. gun deaths a 'national embarrassment' after Indianapolis shooting Apr 17, 2021 3:32PM ET
Roger, your math doesn't make sense. How can you say "it failed to account for multiple guns per owner" when you quoted "121 firearms for every 100 citizens"? How else can there be more guns than people?
U.S. House Speaker Pelosi says does not support bill to expand the Supreme Court Apr 15, 2021 9:00PM ET
Even if individual members' power were 'watered down', the power of the court itself would not be.
U.S. House Speaker Pelosi says does not support bill to expand the Supreme Court Apr 15, 2021 8:58PM ET
Seriously? Trump already stacked it. Biden would only be bringing it back to a more balanced split (if he decided to add more Justices).
U.S. House Speaker Pelosi says does not support bill to expand the Supreme Court Apr 15, 2021 8:56PM ET
Yes, that explains why Trump tried to brainwash everyone into believing that "the media is the enemy" and why he stacked the courts with Conservative judges and made the Supreme Court the most lopsided it's been in ages. He even openly admitted that he was counting on his appointed Conservative justices to help him steal the election when the time came to file frivolous court claims. Luckily they respected common sense and election law, unlike him.
Washington state passes bill with goal to phase out gasoline cars Apr 15, 2021 8:30PM ET
Plenty of hydro electric power in Washington State.
Dow Closes Above 34,000 for First Time as Strong Earnings Keep Rally Alive Apr 15, 2021 8:22PM ET
Crazy Trump said a lot of stooopid things. lol
Dwayne Johnson would run for U.S. President if people want him Apr 14, 2021 11:42PM ET
Nonsense. There are right-wing comments on here all the time. They only censor comments based on an (admittedly flawed) algorithm based on certain words - not based on political agenda. But I guess it's par for the course for a Conservative to whine and play the victim and look for some "deep" conspiracy against them every time they feel something didn't go the way they wanted .
Biden to cancel Trump's pandemic food aid after high costs, delivery problems Apr 14, 2021 11:29PM ET
Successful program? Did you even read the article? It outlines in detail all the challenges and shortcomings of the program, which is the reason for the Biden Administration cancelling it - NOT "because it was Trump's" as you falsely claim. (Assuming that Biden acts out of revenge against his predecessor, just like Trump did to Obama: "par for the course" for Trumpanzees).
FBI chief says five QAnon conspiracy advocates arrested for January 6 U.S. Capitol attack Apr 14, 2021 11:22PM ET
Completely irrelevant to the topic of this article. Plenty were arrested for those riots. Why do you people always bring up BLM whenever the attack on the Capitol is mentioned? They're not related at all and happened under completely different circumstances.
FBI chief says five QAnon conspiracy advocates arrested for January 6 U.S. Capitol attack Apr 14, 2021 11:19PM ET
Pulling down statues is completely unrelated so why do you need to ask that question here? That's not what this article is about.
'How can a democracy function if we can't talk to one another?' U.S. justices ask Apr 14, 2021 10:51PM ET
Mark, did you even read the article? If so, I think you need to improve your reading comprehension skills. It is not the author making the claims, it's 2 Justices from the Supreme Court being quoted. And nowhere does it frame the problem as being "caused by conservatives".  Why do you feel the need to play the victim, and point the finger? I thought the article was fairly balanced with equal quotes and opinions from both a Liberal and a Conservative who know how to have civil discourse with each other.
U.S. Senate hate crimes bill sails past filibuster Apr 14, 2021 10:34PM ET
CatholicMan, words matter. Of course it's silly for people to commit crimes against Asians just because a virus came from Asia. But when the president of the country intentionally makes a point of saying "Chyyyna" every time he talks about the virus, it unfortunately riles up his mindless supporters who want to vent their frustration on others, so it ends up (even if indirectly) encouraging those people to act out against innocent Asian Americans.
U.S. Senate hate crimes bill sails past filibuster Apr 14, 2021 10:29PM ET
The only reason hate crimes against Asians might be happening less in rural (conservative) towns is because statistically there are far fewer Asians living in those places. Conservative, rural areas tend to be mostly White. So blaming it on "large liberal cities" is pretty meaningless.
Republicans want to yank baseball's antitrust immunity after MLB reaction to Georgia voting law Apr 14, 2021 3:52PM ET
Why do Republicans love to preach Freedom of Speech, but when an organisation expresses their opinion about a new law, Republicans think that's a valid reason for Congress to punish them?
