The Yen has recently taken a large hit from USD and I have to think the reason is the Japanese and perhaps the Chinese are buying up huge amounts of the dollar.  By doing so it takes the ***out of inflation on their products and significantly marks up the price on American made goods.  I can’t say that I know this as fact but it does cause one to speculate.

Think about what Kuleba is saying from back in 2008. Ukraines government was so very corrupt at that time and still is to this day. I don't know about you but I refuse to partner or do business with those who are corrupt. Don't take me wrong like I am favoring Russia in this war but I know one thing certain and that is corrupt people do business with the same.

Germany buying our timber to burn instead of coal makes absolutely no sense to me. What does make sense is Russia is a major exporter of timber but with them being removed from SWIFT banking is going to put more stress on Lumber supply and demand for open markets will be strong keeping prices inflated.

Yes as long as the usd is this high.  Biden admin likes it because makes exports cheap and holds down the rate of inflation.  Down side it won’t go on forever and the printing of fiat money will exasperate any efforts to tame inflation.
