Who said the Fed will come to the rescue?

I don't get the relation can you clarify?

In my opinion the major risk currently is reopening businesses and lifting lockdown too quickly and/or without sufficient preparation the consequences of course being a new wave of contaminations, a new and prolonged period of lockdown, etc... Many ppl seem to ignore that healthy carriers are around 80% of the population. incubation period for those asymptotic is irrelevant...

One of the major reasons for the current discrepancies between the economic situation and the stock markets is the influence of politics and media. This is normally found in countries where the media is state-owned...

Caused by the FED or caused by Trump? FED in my opinion is just the performer?
US 500 Futures Apr 15, 2020 7:39PM ET

I agree one of the risks in the long term IMO if this continues is that it will increase social inequality

Scoot Middleton He couldn't really say that? I mean he's not that disconnected from reality and that blinded by his reelection? :-)
US 500 Futures Apr 15, 2020 7:18PM ET
I was a bit sarcastic but I fully agree with you

Trump to announce guidelines tomorrow on reopening US economy. Could that be something like "everyone back to work just don't forget to put your face mask on"?
S&P 500 Apr 15, 2020 5:49PM ET
yes you are right there are three criteria: 1. low probability (event is a surprise), 2. high impact, 3. data was available at the time of the event that would have allowed its prediction but was not taken into account by riskmitigation programs.
S&P 500 Apr 15, 2020 4:30PM ET
possible black swan events take your pick: US steps out of lockdown too early or without thorough preparation bringing a second wave of contaminations, Fed runs out of toner but toner is out of stock, Fauci opens a blog and publishes the true story of the coronavirus pandemic, the debt bubble bursts, China starts liquidating all its US treasury bonds
S&P 500 Apr 15, 2020 4:11PM ET
that's warp 10 if I recall? :-)
S&P 500 Apr 15, 2020 1:23PM ET
Agreed. And when the market reconnects guess what will happen...

Who is going to pay for all this once it's finished? Future generations will pay all this debt.
S&P 500 Apr 13, 2020 1:11PM ET
Agreed

I'm not an expert but one thing I've learned don't listen do all those pseudo analysts and bankers. Like GS telling everyone to sell at the bottom and buy after a 20% rally. It's your money make your own opinion.
S&P 500 Apr 13, 2020 10:17AM ET
small caps and consumer retail will suffer the most IMO
S&P 500 Apr 13, 2020 10:13AM ET
Agreed

China reports worst number of new cases since early March. Fears second wave of contamination... Lifting containment measures and reopening all businesses in the US may not be that easy and quick...
