Stephen Aniston is owner of VIXCONTANGO.com, a VIX trading analytics provider and publisher of a daily investment newsletter focused on the S&P 500 and VIX futures markets and related exchange traded products like SPY, VXX and SVXY. He is also a registered investment adviser. His analysis marries volatility-based technical analysis with the impact of domestic US politics on monetary and fiscal policy and corporate earnings. His investment analysis has been featured in the mainstream financial media like the Financial Times, Reuters and Wall Street Journal. Prior to becoming an investment adviser, Stephen spent a decade as a technology architect of risk management systems at top investment banks like Goldman Sachs, Royal Bank of Scotland and Bank of New York and has a good understanding of the alternative asset management industry (hedge funds and private equity). Before his run on Wall Street, he was involved with a Silicon Valley startup during the Dot Com era. He has an industrial engineering degree from Stanford University and was a national math Olympian in high school. He currently resides in Connecticut and is married with kids.
