I think it's likely we get a red open and then a bounce but who knows with some European nations' repeated imposition of restrictive measures that mostly cause poor people to suffer even more via the increase in inflation that invariably follows. Moreover, blocking flights from a handful of countries, especially after the new strain has already been detected within your borders, will have zero/minimal effect. Past time to learn to live how to live under these circumstances because it isn't going away any time soon. Protect the most vulnerable if they so choose it and let everyone get back living their lives as normally as possible without the constant fearmongering. We've been chasing our tails this whole time! --- https://www.tradingview.com/x/0UfT0tYq/

Moore’s team — which provided some of the first data on Beta’s ability to dodge immunity — has already begun work on B.1.1.529. They plan to test the virus’s ability to evade infection-blocking antibodies, as well as other immune responses. The variant harbours a high number of mutations in regions of the spike protein that antibodies recognize, potentially dampening their potency. “Many mutations we know are problematic, but many more look like they are likely contributing to further evasion,” says Moore. There are even hints from computer modelling that B.1.1.529 could dodge immunity conferred by another component of the immune system called T cells, says Moore. Her team hopes to have its first results in two weeks.

“A burning question is ‘does it reduce vaccine effectiveness, because it has so many changes?’,” says Aris Katzourakis, who studies virus evolution at the University of Oxford, UK. Moore says breakthrough infections have been reported in South Africa among people who have received any of the three kinds of vaccines in use there, from Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer–BioNTech and Oxford–AstraZeneca. Two quarantined travellers in Hong Kong who have tested positive for the variant were vaccinated with the Pfizer jab, according to news reports. One individual had travelled from South Africa; the other was infected during hotel quarantining. https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-021-03552-w

httpThe fst case of a new, highly mutated coronavirus variant that first emerged in South Africa was detected in Israel on Friday [26 Nov 2021], the Health Ministry announced, a development that experts have been fearing. The person was identified as an Israeli who had returned from Malawi. The ministry said 2 others were suspected of also being infected with the new strain, currently known by its scientific name B.1.1.529, and were awaiting final test results. All 3 were vaccinated, the ministry said, adding that their inoculation details were still being verified.s://www.security.co.za/news/6800

“We had one very interesting case, a kid, about six years old, with a temperature and a very high pulse rate, and I wondered if I should admit her. But when I followed up two days later, she was so much better,” Dr Coetzee says. what would she have done if the child had been dead after two days? very high fever and the lady is considering whether to have it committed. but she knows her way around such things.....great doctor - I wish she was yours!

She is a true expert and maybe a stable genius, too! "We will only know this after two weeks. Yes, it is transmissible, but for now, as medical practitioners, we do not know why so much hype is being driven as we are still looking into it. We will only know after two to three weeks as there are some patients admitted and these are young people aged 40 and younger," Ms Coetzee added.

I don't know about you guys but to me this feels like March 2020 style move. Not as deep as that one but at the least 50% of that drop. Why? Because we are at ATH's and normal corrections could easily be 6% or more. On top of that everyone would want profit taking and will SELL more to force Fed's hand for free handouts and eliminate any reasons for interest rate hikes. All in all it looks like the drop will continue for another two weeks or so. Beware!

In Italy there are confirmed cases of omicron. A man has infected many relatives. They are all vaccinated and in good conditions!! It brings back a little optimis confirming what the South African Health Minister Joe Phaahla states about vaccines, that they are still effective in preventing severe Covid from the new variant.

Mangoman247, regarding my assertions that the media mischaracterized the threat from the emergent Omicron variant you can read the suppressed news reports by Google the following terms. Type in the Google search bar 'South Africa Coetzee Omicron Mild' and follow the news links that pop up. Fox News, Yahoo News (redundant), NY Post, and BusinessInsider are unfortunately the only US based outlets reporting that the Omicron’s symptom profile is mild in comparison to previous variants. Liberal news outlets in the USA aligned with the vax-pushing Whitehouse and Big Pharma (ad revenue source) are suppressing the information or burying deep within articles instead of putting it in the lead. In Britain the liberal Guardian is actually reporting the truth. Here is a snippet from the Guardian article: ''Dr Angelique Coetzee, chair of the South African Medical Association and a practising GP based in Pretoria, said it was 'premature' to make predictions of a health crisis. It’s all speculation at this stage. It may be it’s highly transmissible, but so far the cases we are seeing are extremely mild,” she said. 'Maybe two weeks from now I will have a different opinion, but this is what we are seeing. So are we seriously worried? No. We are concerned and we watch what’s happening. But for now we’re saying, ‘OK: there’s a whole hype out there. [We’re] not sure why.’ Now in regards to Dr Coetzee she is not only the chairwoman of SAMA she is also the doctor that first discovered the Omicron variant in SA. She alerted the country’s virus surveillance agency of the variant after 4 of her patients came down with covid infections. In other articles such as those printed in The Times of India she is quoted as saying that the symptoms here patients developed were ‘’unusually mild’’ and that all of them recovered within 2-3 days which shocked her. Now circling back to the Guardian article Dr Coetzee expressed amazement with the hysteria that has been sparked world-wide over the Omicron variant. She said ‘’There’s a whole lot of hype [about Omicron] and we’re not sure why’’. Well, I’ll tell you why. It’s because the lying liberal Big Pharma funded media intentionally misrepresented the true situation with Omicron in-order to push an agenda that benefits both the news media (ratings bump), Big Pharma (vaccine/booster sales), and by extension benefits the agenda of Democrats who have been exploiting the pandemic to push their political agenda. It’s a new Axis of Evil.
