yield curve theory - market goes down when the spread goes up with yields down, market goes up when yields go up with spread down. yields are now at the recession trendline where the past 2 recessions started. I think this trendline is more telling than inverted yields.

the current market high coincided with yields hitting the trendline. The breaking of the trendline could indicate the market will go down with rising rates?

A controlled recession/bear market is required in order to justify the central banks continuing to pump trillions of dollars into the global economy forever. It's all part of the plan =)

I disagree Dennis, from what I see you cant even draw a trendline from those date's lows. Connecting May 5th and 29th reaction lows makes the best trendline IMO. Same dates look even better on the Dow.

Mat Babyak i see what you mean, but i think the low where BB starts his trendline should be disregarded, because it got denied hard. therefor i would use the low of the red and green bar left of 04/08

Dennis Kusters being denied hard isnt a bad thing, reaction lows set the market's floor. All depends, some people want to plot on real bodies of candles, others like wicks.

Trump will drop the markets worldwide but who cares? he pumped it 60% since hes elected, priced in worse recession in history in one year..... and with his trade wars deficits tariffs jobs and politics, USA will be one of few country to land softly and recover quickly... Like him or Hate him, he know how to roll it.

Iron Mike mike I’m bullish and I have caught every substantial move down from 2009 till this morning, I went short in a big way on 1/27 after being long for a years and still look in my comments you’ll see on 1/24 I said we will break out and make a new ATH by fri. only to fall back in and look for a 10% correction next week. I’m not blind I just know how things work and by the time we get around to testing liquidity again you will need a full blown crash to break even and it’s not gonna happen like that.

Still think we are just in range; 9 days from end of quarter and then 2 weeks later earnings start with NAFTA/China/Europe trade rhetoric still around; there is also OPEC meeting on friday; 2730-2811; upper part of range so more bullish (55/45); best to BTD
