That's a Chinese problem , the USA has 93 people per Square mile density of population, China has 375 people per Square Mile population... now tell me who is doing better with land and population management?

trade negotiations will again get worse before it gets better...the recent wreaths of goodwill offered will soon turn back into a No Maas reaction on both sides as negotiations falter and end with Tariff relief in sight just avoiding the 25% increase with China buying more oil, gas and soybeans but that is about it...which means nothing accomplished but theatricals ie like a reality show

so what, investors will get used to tariffs... China has even worse than tariffs against US products, they produce cheaply ********the planet, using no worker safety, child labor, etc. So people in China can't afford US products... those are the intrinsic "tariffs" China has against foreign products. They have the best interest in keeping wages low compared to the rest of the world otherwise they are screwed

3.9% unemployment rate, and people have good jobs 100,000 per year jobs are quite normal in the USA. People are free to say ANYTHING they want, even against their own government, it's a basic right, also people can practice ANY religion they want without being persecuted , unlike  what China is doing against religious minorities, and this gives Western people more confidence in themselves and ability to dream big. This also gives western people more creativity, more genius and intuition for more successful enterprises. Chinese people have no freedom, they think like sheep/robots, they even move like sheep or robots, and they have no smile, no dreams, no joy of living.... this is what makes them the last after all the western countries

why do you need a social state? Do you need government to give you handouts when you can make it on your own? It's a dishonour to rely on government handouts... and big honour to make it with your own hard work, study and intellect.

"The renewed focus on regular reviews in current negotiations - this time carrying the threat of tariffs - underscores the growing distrust between the two countries."...any deal requires what China believes are humiliation requirements - looks like - tensions will re-escalate soon as tow sides use safe facing tactics to avoid a mkt meltdowns on both sides of the mkts

China needs to commit to stop stealing intellectual property, and unfortunately this cannot be done. The only way is for western companies to stop producing products in China and start producing in their own countries again, to keep ahead in the technology front. Prices will go up but at least they won't be transferring their know-how to ruthless Chinese companies that will go around them and quickly start producing those products cheaper with cloned components as it happens in electronics...

ÇİN ÇİN the problem with China is that the COMMUNIST ideals are inferior and immoral because they can only be "IMPOSED" on people by force and government control. Communism is never based on freedom, because it's not natural. So China can only become modern and great if the COMMUNIST party dies

not many countries that have a better wealth distribution than the USA.... you will find countries with a good "poverty" distribution though... of course tiny Arab countries that have oil don't count.

Trump to speak in an hour about shut down , probably a big gap up Sunday night and into MLK. I’m thinking if that happens it will mark a short term top and the whole gap will be faded Tuesday morning. That’s how I’ll play it if the scenario plays out.

Yes but the market was just looking for a reason to push over resistance at 2625-26. Once we pushed over by a nice margin the news came out that the wsj story was kinda BS, that’s when we came back to test the 25-26 level. That was the buy!!!! There was plenty of time to do it too(I posted in teal time that resistance has now become support). This is when you pull the trigger!! The great thing about set ups like this is you know your stop right? If the market starts shooting back under the 25-26 level you bail. What I like to do is use a 7-10 handle stop on a trade like this to give the market room to possible scare some people . Then if I do get stopped out I’ll try again on a biy stop above that level. It’s worth a couple try’s sometimes. This one didn’t require that which is always nice

ck100First and foremost, you are wrong on several counts: (1) I do not expect someone who does not know cycle work to be able very credible in their disagreement, (2) I have NEVER nor will I EVER provide “a trade” for somebody else and the only one who would trade off of somebody else’s work either has no plan of their own or wants to blame somebody else when he/she fails and thus cannot take personal responsibility for that trade. (3) I do NOT day trade as I am a swing/position trader and have stated so.

Frankie Favor . That's fair, my fault for taking the risk. However you have not demonstrated how to apply this cycle work to where it generates profits, that's the only thing that matters. Seems like backpedelling from when you first stated on this board that the impression you were trying to make is that you were not going to be wrong on your cycle turns, now you are throwing in weekly patterns and momentum to justify why the the turns did't produce the results you were expecting. The right and left translation is enough for me to not want to use cycles, as they can only be labelled assoc. in hindsight, after you have already lost on an expected turn.. Like I said a few weeks ago I have never seen a cycle trader be right on turns more than 25%. If you are using for something else as some kind of filter, fine but you cannot predict where price is going from them.

the only deal that will happen is on the same terms CHina offered 6 months ago - ie buy more goods from US vs other countries - but that isnt what US started the trade war over - despite what was a trade imbalance caused by greater demand for cheaper products from China - its the IT intellectual rights issue that will not be negotiated like the wall issue - the problem is the US is trying to undermine CHina growth and progress and that is more a political structural issue that can be resolved in Trumps tenure as POTUS
