The Sub-Fund seeks to provide a high level of income with the possibility of long-term growth. To achieve this objective, the Sub-Fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in equity securities of real estate investment trusts (“REITs”) set up under US law and listed and publicly traded on stock exchanges in the US. REITs are corporations or trusts that combine the capital of many investors to acquire or provide financing for all forms of income-producing real estate. Equity securities include common and preferred stock; rights or warrants to purchase common or preferred stock; securities convertible into common or preferred stock such as convertible preferred stock, bonds or debentures; and other securities with equity characteristics.
