Biography Chris Mackay co-manages Magellan’s Global Equity strategies alongside Nikki Thomas and Arvid Streimann. Chris co-founded Magellan in 2006, and was inaugural Chairman and was Chief Investment Officer from inception to 2012. He stepped down from the Magellan Board and as Chairman in 2013 and became Managing Director and Portfolio Manager of ASX-listed MFF Capital Investments Limited, a fund where he has been lead portfolio manager since listing in December 2006. Chris was a member of the Federal Treasurer’s Financial Sector Advisory Council, a member of the Business Council of Australia and a director of the International Banks & Securities Association. He is a Director of Seven Group Holdings (appointed 2010) and was a Director of Consolidated Media Holdings (formerly Publishing and Broadcasting) from 2006 until its takeover by News Corp in 2012. Prior to co-founding Magellan, Chris retired as chairman of the investment bank UBS Australasia in 2006, having previously been its chief executive officer. Chris became an investment banker in 1988, after being a corporate and banking lawyer, and has broad experience in business management, business assessment, capital allocation, risk management and investment.

Biography Hamish Douglass is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Magellan Financial Group. Prior to joining MFGAM Hamish was Co-Head of Global Banking for Deutsche Bank AG in Australia and New Zealand. Hamish is a member of the Australian Government’s Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB), a member of the Australian Government’s Financial Literacy Board, a member of the Australian Government’s Takeovers Panel and is a member of the Forum of Young Global Leaders – World Economic Forum. Hamish is a member of MFGAM’s Investment Committee and the Lead Portfolio Manager for Global Equities.
