Tom Scheuermann  I don't know on what basis you could even think of gold loosing almost 2/3 of the value right now. Not withing my lifespan. However, within the next 15 years iS&P500 at 1000 is possible. It is unlikely, sure, but there is a concrete chance. It would be good for my pension. I am guessing 1500 is way more sensible. It's not going there in a straight line, though.

Someone stated that If Russia demanded gold for oil instead of USDs, since they are being denied access to the SWIFT system it could be a major game changer.
