Do you think it will ever reach over 13.50 again this year?

Yes, 13.50 is not far away. When the volatility calms down like it usually does, this will go up 13+ and should keep climbing as long as volatility remains low.

There's something about this ETF that doesn't make sense.  When the VIX shot up last week, SVXY plummeted from $110 to $12.  Now that the VIX is back down, SVXY has barely risen at all.  ???

EG go to six figure investing how does SVXY work. If you search with that question you should find some help. I also feel there is a lot of built in premium in SVXY through the months that’s gone now.

This works on futures of vix not spot vix. Inverse of uvxy. One has to realize that volatility in stock market is not a ever going phenomenon. Otherwise money won’t come in. So when Hugh volatility’s period ends the futures of vix fall that’s when this goes up

The end of February, anyway near it the volatility should clear out. If and a big if bond yields stay moderated.

Think it will take some time only. I hope as well. Because I have put options open at strikes 70 and 100. Expiration 23 march...But what about contango or backwardation? We will be in backwardation on SVXY while VXX will be dropping and VXX will be in contango?..Hopefully SVXY will not inform us about termination like XIV.

Now what is happening with SVXY? Flat lined at $11~ I am stuck with 300 shares I paid $110 for. After its high of $140, I thought this was a deal. Every chance it simply goes away

Checkout the NAV of the ETF. It was 3.96 per share yesterday closing. http://www.proshares.com/funds/svxy.html It's not going back to anywhere close to $110 soon. But it won't unwind as XIV for now as ProShare announced today they will keep managing the ETF as usual.

Realize the lose or buy some more to average down the cost. 110 will take maybe 10 years to reach if it can. 30 is a lot more archivable but you risk losing more.

How come this ETF goes up, when VIX is rising? Should not the relationship be inverse?

don't trade that through forex platforms, it is almost completely controlled by market makers so it reacts like a black hole to your money. if you want to trade that, trade it immediately from the exchange of this financial instrument
