The company was formerly known as Lever Brothers (West Africa) Ltd and changed its name to Unilever Nigeria Plc in 2001. Unilever Nigeria Plc was incorporated in 1923 and is based in Lagos, Nigeria. Unilever Nigeria Plc is a subsidiary of Unilever Overseas Holdings BV.
