The company operates in two segments, Automotive, and Energy Generation and Storage. The company was formerly known as Tesla Motors, Inc. and changed its name to Tesla, Inc. in February 2017. Tesla, Inc. was incorporated in 2003 and is headquartered in Austin, Texas.

Volume is higher than the average, but seems shorts are not being closed. If these are new shorts from hedge funds, Monday will see another 7-8% pulldown. The gap down is not what retail shorts were looking for. Most logical shorts would have been cautious going into the robotaxi event. Most likely, retail opened shorts today under $220. If the majority of new shorts are from retail, we should get a nice bounce to $230 on Monday. I would not be surprised if Elon posted some bullish updates over the weekend on items that Morgan Stanley was looking for in the robotaxi event. Earnings next week will be the next catalyst. Tesla generally does not shine in earnings. Long term looking bright. Short term trades are for the gamblers.

I can't see anything bullish coming out after this event near term as we all saw the event and it was nothing that excited Wall Street based on the sell off. the next downside catalyst is going to be upcoming third quarter earnings which you're going to see further margin compression. most of your comments about shorts retail shorts aren't going to amount to much and something like this it's going to be the big headge shorts that really drag it down . taking into consideration this robo taxi event and the upcoming earnings release I don't see big money in a rush to cover. As for your comment about short-term trading being gambling, I day trade full-time, I understand it's gambling I understand also how to control my risk because I've been doing this long enough. I don't go for home runs I go for singles and doubles.
