Listen, guys, great opportunity to make money playing long with this stock. Bridwater Fund is short in it having sold 0,69% of the company free-float before the Government of Spain has prohibited/forbidden/banned short sales in the market yesterday for at least one month from March 17th till April 17th 2020, that maybe extended longer if needed to stabilize the markets during coronavirus crisis. The outstanding 0,69% to be closed means that they have to buy in a hurry 35 million shares ( equal to 170 million dollars) of this stock.

Telefonica is the most important telecommunication company in Spain and a strategic company for the Government of Spain. These guys are in serious troubles and I’m afraid the will have to pay a lot of money to close their position. It is a great mistake on their side to have played short with this stock under the protection of the Government now. YOU HAVE TO BUY THE STOCK OF TELEFONICA LISTED IN IBEX 35. Last close 4,65 euros per share in IBEX
