My understanding is that Silicon Valley Bank entered receivership. SVB Financial Group is the parent company of Silicon Valley Bank. This means SVB Financial Group (SIVB) isn't bankrupted and should still be trading today. Am I right??
Pannic caused this to fail
it was not panic. It was that they ran out of money.
but now they get the Money gap with Bond as collateral, right?
Wow! 95% of depositors money is uninsure. many people with over $250,000 in that bank
every bank can fall if there is panic and all customers take money out.

The book value per share is 209 and p/b ratio is about 0.5 according to investing.com. Shouldn't SIVB have enough assets to cover all liabilities including customer deposits and still left with assets? I am confused as to why shareholders get completely wiped out this time. If anyone could please enlighten me?
