Making me rich 🤑🤑🤑
Going to raise dividends!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
So, RDS is considering selling it's Permian basin assets to appease the environmentalists. This and other similar sales, will be seen as distressed sales and will only serve to pass undervalued assets to less scrupulous organisations and governments who don't give a stuff about the environment. And when oil and gas and petrochemical byproducts are scarce through underinvestment, you and I will pay inflated prices to bespots. So RDS and the likes will have achieved nothing.
may be, but the marketa are going down everywhere. Also for the environmentalists: it is more the politicians...
Buy the dip
Inflation up. Good time for oil & value stock like Shell & BP
still down though 😞
Brent down 2%, BP & Shell down 2%
Q4 2020 and FY 2020 result are too bad: loss 4B and 21B respectively
Shell strategy & execution for energy transition are quite impressive. Much better than other oil giants. Surprisingly its share is beaten down this much.
Oil giant Royal Dutch Shell on Thursday reported better-than-expected third-quarter earnings and announced plans to increase its dividend to shareholders.
Stock owners of rds believe in more dividend :)
Stock price is currently pressured from seasonality, projections and Q2 results.  This shares are trading at 1994-1995 levels when planet Earth was populated by less humans (2b roughly) and Crude Oil was selling at around 30$/barrel. From an "off" economy (lockdown) to "on" (back-to-biz) things can only get better and consumption restart. Therefore I'm bullish. BUY BUY BUY
why market didnt open today?
What I don't understand is in Dec 2009 crude oil futures went down to 39 and in Feb 2016 it went down to 29. RDS didn't lower their dividend then. Why did they have to lower their dividend now so much now ? Am I missing something ? Is RDS trying to cheat their shareholders ?
Yes - you are missing Covid 19 !
trolling probably
Well, BP did not cut its dividends, Shell did, this might help Shell to get through this tough time better than BP, and BP may regret very soon not doing it. The hit will be harder if they don't have enough cash flow because of high dividend payouts.
Will Shell rise or continue to fall on the next few weeks?
Ouch again for my oil investments... Yay to changing energy paradigms!
