PetroVietnam Power Corporation - JSC, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the production and distribution of industrial and consumer electricity in Vietnam. The company generates electricity through gas and coal fired thermal, hydropower, and other renewable resources. It also manages and operates power plants; provides training services for short-term and thematic courses on various fields; offers skilled workers in operation and maintenance of power plants, and industrial facilities; installs electrical systems at construction works; provides management services for power, and consulting services for electricity projects; goods warehousing and storage; and wholesales solid, liquid, gas, and related fuel products. In addition, the company constructs power plants for electricity industry; constructs and develops power infrastructure and power grids; invests and constructs independent electricity projects; constructs, develops, manages, and implements CDM projects for clean electricity; purchases electrical systems at construction works; trades in equipment and spare parts for electricity production and trading; information technology services; provides certified emission reductions of power plants; and researches and applies new technological advances for electricity projects and energy use, such as wind, solar, and nuclear power. Further, it offers technical and operating services, and trains human resources for operation, repair, and maintenance for electricity production; leases transport, crane, and towing vehicles; trades in ash, slag, and scrap products; import and exports energy, raw materials, equipment, supplies, and spare parts for electricity production and trading; and imports and exports commodities. The company was incorporated in 2007 and is based in Hanoi, Vietnam. PetroVietnam Power Corporation - JSC is a subsidiary of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group.
