NXT Energy Solutions Inc. is a Canada-based technology company. The Company offers a geophysical service to the upstream oil and gas industry using its gravity-based Stress Field Detection (SFD) remote-sensing survey system. The Company’s SFD survey technology is an airborne survey system that is used in the oil and natural gas exploration industry to help in identifying areas with hydrocarbon reservoir potential. SFD is the airborne tool that provides information on areas conducive to fluid entrapment in the sedimentary column. The SFD survey covers an area of approximately 8,900 square kilometers and provides participants with a data set, which is used to confirm seismically identified potential traps. The SFD survey also provides information on trapped fluid accumulations, which is useful in the evaluation of prospective blocks. SFD conducts surveys in the United States, South America (Colombia, Argentina), Central America (Mexico, Guatemala, Belize) and South Asia (Pakistan).
