              • That would certainly explain why the EPA is now getting involved to re activate the clean water act that was set aside by Donald Trump.

                    • Also Alaska has no state sales tax although some municipalities charges small sales tax. So all the revenue comes from mining and drilling which the administration is trying to knock out. Mine is a much bigger threat to the viability of Alaska's finance then the environmental crazies
                      0
                      • forget about the company, most gold mining stocks perform well at the right time. NAK/NDM is full of snake and scorpion traders fighting with wolves.

                    • This mine is only going to happen if the people in Alaska wante it to happen and the leadership in Alaska has the political will to make it happen. Obviously the Biden administration is going to try to ****it like they did with a new drilling in Alaska which has severely impaired the state financially. Alaska has no income tax and a huge budget deficit and the fourth highest per capita overall State debt in the nation

                      • question in your opinion did you see this company up by next week or down because of this news 🤔
                        0
                      • Honestly I take a much longer approach to this project than what's going to happen next week on any given news event. I think eventually they do this mine because they have to. Alaskan needs the money And America needs domestic supply of strategic metals. Molidinium in this case. Copper too
                        0
                    • sorry don't mind the one below my keyboard messed up can someone explain how good is this for the company if the deal Bristol Bay Watershed is to be approved and what it means to the company I thought by protecting the Bristol Bay Watershed will have negative impact on the mining company so please someone explain because I see the volume went crazy last hour of today trading
                      0
                      • Edwin, in my opinion the EPA article is just a bunch of noise being put out publicly to draw attention away from NAK's economic outcome news also released earlier Thursday before the EPA "threat". People know that any EPA "ruling" can and probably will be reversed by next administration. / If not sued by NDM. Science has already concluded "no measurable effects will cause any harm to the area. the ACOE only stopped this because "it's not in the public's interest". so they say. NDM said the project should be voted on based on merit and science. There's much more to it that just this but this mine could be built and operated using the most modern/environmentally friendly equipment and procedures that there will not be any chance of tailings damn failure or acidic water being released into the natural waterways without being cleaned up to and beyond original cleanliness. Science is on the mines side but local greenies will never support this or any mine ever.

                      • The Justice department can only be suing to vacate the Trump administration protection order if they believe that the on the core of engineers is going to come back with a positive response to the appeal. Otherwise why bother?
