@Market Maker Another part of the article is like this. We need to look at this side of things a bit. While the situation is currently dim, there is hope for investors in the form of a new Nio subbrand, officially named Ledao, or Onvo in English. The lower-priced brand is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2024 at a price point just below Nio's name-brand vehicles, and it could provide the boost in sales volume the company desperately needs. :) Even with the tough position it's currently in, the company has much more hope for its future because it's still attracting investment. Plus, its upcoming lower-priced brand could generate much-needed sales. For now, it can sell investors on that future.
Ultimately, Nio might prove to be the next Fisker, but even with the tough position it's currently in, the company has much more hope for its future because it's still attracting investment....Those conditions will put immense pressure on unprofitable start-up EV makers and will almost certainly bring some industry consolidation. We've already seen Fisker crumble under the pressure. For investors, the question is: What company might be next? february was a bad month for other ev producers as well, some facts here; BYD sold 300,114 passenger BEVs in the first quarter of 2024, up 13.4 percent year-on-year but down 42.99 percent from the fourth quarter last year. Advertisement 00:00/01:00 Tesla is expected to announce 405,000 to 430,000 sales deliveries for the first quarter of 2024. Tesla was likely ahead of BED for the March, 2024 monthly sales. BYD sold 139,000 in March. This is likely very close to the level of Tesla global monthly unit sales. Tesla also had more sales in March. Both BYD and Tesla would have weak China sales in February with the Chinese new year.
