With Trump now in charge the deal should now go through. Theres really no reason for it not to now.
pro badge
The reason for it not to go through is because it's been cancelled by both Tapestry and Capri. I believe, Tapestry will be committing to share backs instead and then there simply is not financing for any future deal between the two firms. IDOL is trying to sell off Versache and Jimmy CHOO to anyone who will buy it... which makes me question the management. It's not stupid to sell it off, but I would like to know how much they spent creating these brands. CPRI I think??? Used to be an corp that wanted to expand into luxury and eventually compete with Herme's etc.... What the heck is the strategy now if you sell off the assets??
Buy on open

Seems we have a few shorters not liking my comment. Well. Good luck whichever way this goes. Ive decided this is a great entry point and will buy in any dios from here

First of all. A ridiculous drop in the share price and a great buying opportunity. Especially as tapestry are challenging the decision with an appeal. It should go theough next time and there will also be a linen of suitors waiting to buy Capri, so a win win going forwards and a strong possibility of a doubling of the share price from here.
I don't know this stuff what's so good about it
i don't like the company but it's so cheap rn.

game on, if you liked the stock at 38, you should like it at $22 right? I am slightly concerned, that capri is currently not profitable though
What do you think about the future of the company?

Matt Re I'm not sure they should be trying to sell choo or versache. If they are so confident why not run the businesses and just pay off the debt. I don't like the ceo right now, would perfer someone who focuses on operations.
pro badge
Matt Re mixed... the business either is not as good as they say it is.... or John Idol is fleecing shareholders trying to get an deal done where he makes $$$ quickly and it's rock solid. eitherway get an new ceo

I think the only people who have any idea are lawyers and the ftc.... long term if you assume the deal fails and the management team can pay down the giant amount of debt on the books it's an great buy. I actually really like de-leverage plays because you can measure the progress... as an investor
thoughts on this stock before earnings tomorrow? It has had a great run up and given the economy and inflation, I am wondering if this is a sell or a buy.
Come up capri

There you go! The Dump.
When you consider they bought out jimmy choo for $1.2bn,  this is cheap with a mcap of $3bn

Capri and L Bands used to correlate closely but while L Bands gained 100% in the last month and half, Capri's been doing worse and worse. Why??
My suggestion is to sell this stock, it's an international one that it's holding to release the audited financial report.....bankrupt.
Wrong, do your homework !
The stock is doing great today.
They are holding to release the earnings to let this stuff to go up. At the moment they publish it....
acquisition Target at these low prices ??
LoooooooL biggest correlation in market history ever!!!! Worst possible news and up by 32%!!!
bankrupt
I'm buying big
Buy under $10.00!!
Buy!
