Thumbs down. I bought for .30 and sold for .85. 10 contracts so $550 profit. I bought this based on the fact that Albermarle had earnings which i thought they would handsomely beat. LAC should generally follow the same trend as ALB.

Cronos Magus I hear you man. I generally stay away from short term options, regardless of bear/bull market, but decided to run with this one. I might be throwing in the towel on UPST soon. Can’t seem to dig itself out of the mud. Shorts are making bank on it. Still holding 200 shares, but it seems like the short side may pay off more. Any thoughts?

Albemarle reports on Wednesday. Analysts have high expectations on top and bottom lines. If it beats on earnings, LAC could easily squeeze up 20%.

My guess is a technical buy. Overshorted so shorts being closed creating a squeeze. Seems to be a trend in meme and high growth small cap stocks lately. But good news next would not surprise me.
