The company offers performance plastics, such as polypropylene (PP) products used in houseware, healthcare, automotive, construction, and baby care applications; performance composites used in automotive, household and consumer products, healthcare, and industrial/construction applications; and PP staple fibers used in diapers, wipers, masks, tea bags, filters, interior car accessories, tufted carpets, geotextiles, towelettes, and household cleaning. It also provides methanol and solvent products used in chemical, electronic, medicine, construction, textile, automobile, semiconductor, and TFT-LCD industries; thermoplastic elastomers used in adhesives, asphalt and plastics modification, composite solutions, and footwear; and closed lid and open-head drums used in stainless steel, zinc steel, and neck-in open steel drums. In addition, the company engages in the rental of storage tanks for import/export of chemical materials and products; transshipment of petrochemical products and import/export; import/export shipping coordination; petrochemical and pressurized gas tank filling service; and petrochemical drum loading services. The company was formerly known as Lee Chang Yuan Chemical Industry Corporation and changed its name to LCY Chemical Corp. in June 2010. LCY Chemical Corp. was founded in 1965 and is headquartered in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. As of January 30, 2019, LCY Chemical Corp. was taken private.
