  • TSM down 2%, NVDA down 5%, AMD down 5%. INTC down 1%. Interesting. Is this because of China/Taiwan? Or is it just INTC is over sold and is getting dragged down by other chip stocks and bought up by value buyers? Honestly if INTC gets much lower it will be in take over territory.

    • its oversold, P/B is close 1 at the moment, and its a value stock with massive assets, massive investments and huge profits, however cost custs are needed as everywhere in the world due to recession

    • I'm fully support for them to fire 20% of their workforce , ev1 know they have many useless employees over there

    • The sooner the better. When the last earnings relased I asked a guy i knew who worked there for decades if they were cutting jobs. He said the earnings were actually good and sent me the previous quarters earnings. He didn't even know they failed miserably. To many diversity hires. I bet once they fire 10-20% productivity will double.

  • still more pain ahead. be patient and wait

    • Roy Nisanithe estimated October EPS is $0.35 which is barely enough to pay the quarterly dividends. Real problem is the quarters that follow.

    • so many bear amd bagholders lol , who want to side bet they will not lower their dividends not in the next 5 years not ever , if anything expected increase in 2024 or 2025

    • Roy Nisaninot a single of us amd are bagholders many bought their shares 80-90s and most of amd shareholders are up big. I bet 80% of intel shareholders are at loss

  • Tomorrow Pat will address the company, will be very intersting to see what happens to ARC. Even if they make a good chip and fix the drivers its not making money. If they just focus on Mobile GPU chips for laptops I will be happy and will buy shares as an investment.

    • "US bank chiefs warn of China exit if Taiwan is attacked". Looks like the CCCP might be accelerating plans to replace the current Taiwan government. I guess TSMC's fabs will belong to China. ***INTC still can't make advanced CPU in the USA.

    • Want to see some capitulative volume on this before considering building a position on this. Preferably a nice long legged hammer candle too..

      • I want to see some bench marks on Gen 13k vs 7k. Also want to see INTC actually have chips to sell. I Don't think the PC market is supper important for INTC but it will at least show me the leadership can do something.

      0
      • in my opinion the stock will stay at 25 to 30 for the next 7 years and that because it has factories in Usa

      • lool good luck bagholding amd , let's talk in 2027
        4
    • Rumors are INTC might be scalling back ARC to just mobile PCs. Announcment might happen next week. This seems to be smart as desk top PC and high power GPU demand is almost dead. Might be other re-structuring next week. Would love to see about half of upper leadership leave. Their failures are unacceptable.

      • the potential of intel with high margin is amazing , they literally has 20% 30% useless employees that if u fire them all, no one will notice there, I hope the pressure for that move will happen on that for coming year or 2
        2
    • buy the dip

      • currently intel assets are worth more than stock marketcap, its a bargain LOL PB = 0.99
        4
        • Sorry JF no clue what you are asking. The point is intels book value is about the same as the market cap. Which is absurd for a company that makes money , dominates market share and pays a high dividend.
          1
        • there are lots of clueless bears here, amd fanboys that bought amd at 140 and will baghold that for 3 years now , while intel getting the dividends and will triple their price with foundry in 2027

          • Good. But, then? No future …
            0
          • Buying what at 21? The only reason its at 29 is people think AMD is a compeditor to Intel in the long term. They seem to think when AMD goes down INTC mus go down as well. INTC is growing into a massive company that produces some of it own products while doing Foundry Services like TSMC. If Pat can't get it done the next CEO will.

          • Intel investing nearly 20 billion dollars for new plants in Ohio to be up and running 2025! you know the same time that a conservative Republican will be going into the White house? along with a GOP House and Senate minus the Republicans in name only!what happened the last time that happened? oh that's right the market in just about every company on the planets stock went through the roof!oh the horror of Intel stock plummeting during a recession with the 40-year high of inflation and energy prices! managed by far left liberal Democrats! all that's going to end in about 60 days! and in 2 years? all these until doomsdays will be claiming how smart they were when Intel stock goes to $300 a share!
            3
            • hey ray, you can invest or stop, no need to get into politics here. You know it's the maga Republicans that ******up this country along with trump. You can put on the blindfold if you want, but the truth is outthere.
              5
            • Sorry are you saying that politics don't affect the markets? You are one of those people that try to decide what others can say. Are you suggesting I should be able to control the topics you may speak about. MAGA means make america great again. Its not political, its not a new idea.
              1
            • Tiffany TranI'll get into politics anytime I want because that's a big part of investing! yeah right I'll bet when you can't get laid at night you blame president Trump!

          • If the war on Taiwan chip production has begun is it a good time to buy the major chip proucer outside of Taiwan? IDK. Might bet a better deal as AMD and NVDA crash. My dad always said, don't make all your advanced chips on a chinese island.
            2
            • The real question is Biden Chip war with China going to extend Taiwan. I the tools and chips mainland china wants are on Taiwan, Then the cccp will just take them. Who is going to stop China from getting the chips they want, espcialy if they are making them in their territory. Might be time to stop using Taiwan for chip production.

                • We now have a sustained break at 30. I am holding back on buying for now for two reasons: 1. After a bearish correction on the Nasdaq, Intel is showing no power to recover. 2. I have expectations for lower levels of the index until the end of the year. 3. Dividend reduction is possible. But for this, it can positively affect the price. My forecast for the end of the year of 27-28 remains.

                  • Roy Nisanisemis are macro driven for now. If amd gets to 50, Intel will get to 18. 🤷‍♂️

                  • hahha, how donkey like some people are here, if you count inflation, and increased money supply, this is the lowest this stock has been since 2008, its booking value is way above current market cap, keep shorting, im buying all the way down

                    • Yet Intel is still the second biggest semiconductor company worldwide, second only to TSM in annual revenue. Neck and neck with Samsung, but then far outpacing anyone else.

                  • You guys realise this is a value stock right. And it’s falling similar to what growth stocks are. When markets turn around, growth stocks will fly. Intel won’t. Name one value stock that’s fallen even one-third of intel - this is likely the single worst value stock in the market.

                    • Roy Nisaniit actually saves money to switch from crappy Xeon to epyc (TCO - total cost of ownership). Higher energy prices / rationing and cost optimisation = spike in demand. There’s a reason there’s still 6-7 months waitlist for epyc while you can get xeon tomm.
