Bought 10 leap calls strike$10 JAN2022 for 3.15. Hoping for a small bump up in price to create a spread. Anyone here trade options or just long shares?
I trade both...
Im bought $10.9, sell or hold?
Hold of course.
hold
hold hold hold
I was about to buy in after seeing the action. I figured GE is made in America. I realize it is owned by China. No thank you.
GE headquarters is in Boston.  Turbines and jet engines are made here in the states.  GE has nothing to do with China with the exception of house hold appliances and light bulbs which weren't contributing much to the 120 BILLION in annual revenue...
just rather support America. Thats all. But now I see that appliances division is owned by China. Not the other sectors that Charles mentioned. Thank you for straightening me out. I will be buying some leap calls.
No China
i see the drop more like a profit taking... fundamentally nothing changed, other than credit rating was not improved. long term and really long term GE will improve further debt to equity ratio and businesses like Renewables, aviation, power will increase profitability. what prev mgmgt messed up in 15 years cannot be fixed in 2 years, but its on track. 20 dollars in 2023 is possible. that is 80 upside in 2 years.
Buy btw 11.5-12
they have $37B in cash and $20B in credit lines. From the last GE Investor day ( https://seekingalpha.com/news/3671145-ge-slips-as-investor-day-begins-aercap-and-2021-outlook-in-focus ) "After closing, we will have reduced our debt by $70B since the end of 2018. We have improved our financial position ending last year with $37B in cash and $20B in credit lines."

dead company?  500B loan?  1/3 of the world's electricity is generated by GE equipment and they build 65% of commercial aircraft engines.  Also their TOTAL liabilities are only 216B with assets of $254B... and how many electric car companies are out there now competing with Tesla?  The barrier to entry for aviation engines is massive... cars, not so much...
a reverse stock split is the kiss of death and a slap in the face of the investors that held this stock throughout the years
yes, infact if we have 10.000 shares at 10 usd each, or 1.000 shares at 100 usd each, it is the same. It is only a psychological aspect, not a fondumental reason
funny!
I think you are missing Daniel Smith's point. A reverse split is rarely, if ever, done by a company in a good financial position. GE wants their stock price to be much higher to reduce their risk of being delisted if it falls back and, more likely, so that they can successfully raise more capital in the future by issuing more shares of stock without concern about how much the stock price may fall.
bears taking profit
back to the basics. Buy high sell low hehehe
time to buy buy buy
you hv 21 coins and change it for 20 bill, of course lost one dollie but you feel comfortable w your pocket and paid in better way, ex for dummies
world biggest wind turbine, consolidate shares, made billions to deal w Aercap, are they a bad management?.
I just sold my small amount of shares I made 94% over my original investment.. too bad about the reverse split, I believe this company should be over $100? But it's so low only due to the poor management.
will be over 100 soon
Reverse split has no effect on the stock value. They just made 30 Billion selling 54% stake in GE Capital.. Focus on the real change here people.
If a company make 30 billion by selling its stake in another Company, there is no need to do a reverse spilt at all. Whats the trigger here?
History would not be on your side of the argument here
CEO LIVE ON BLOOMBERG NOW
Tomorrow 12 and then the fall down will start..
Would you bet your life savings on that?
Its markets fundamentals and how markets reacts ..
GE too honest about report should have just tweeted a meme like every other over bought company
Decision isn't until May and some of you are here letting bricks out of your rear end. Hilarious.
this should have only a st impact on the price... value comes from business not from sharesplit manipulation like by tesla
who would buy GE now with a reverse split coming, makes no sense. You are just giving your money away
This is why I dont pay attention to anyone in the comments section.

Holding. I'll buy more under 12.
Reverse split is bad indeed.. Black swan..
typical mindless morning panic....buy opp for the people with foresight and conviction.
sold 54% interest in GE capital for net value of 30 Billion to focus on industry strengths. Seriously good move here limiting risk of previous concerns around its financial sector.
Reverse split dampens this news. Hurts long rerm investir that road this stock down.
Mathematically it is meaningless , just 8 times fewer shares.
Reverse split 8of Ge stock will get 1
Ge is looser!!!
