Look at the chart. Officially, it has become a penny stock.
"With co-funding from the European Regional Development Fund, the University of Sheffield is establishing a flagship national Translational Energy Research Centre (TERC) and is looking to procure and integrate into a mini-grid system a range of bioenergy and renewable energy generating equipment, Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS), fuel cells and electrolysers. Carbon capture is a fundamental element in the transition to low carbon economy. Molten carbonate fuel cell (MCFC) technology is highly appealing: it does not only capture CO2 but also produces electrical energy at the same time. Furthermore, the high operating temperature (~600 ºC) enables MCFC to internally process a wide spectrum of fuel and flue gases. As part of the equipment portfolio, we are looking to procure an MCFC system capable of generating ≥ 30 kW. The MCFC system will support our extensive current and future research activities in low carbon energy generation, integrated energy systems and hydrogen economy." "At the time of contracting with the supplying company they believed it would be better for the University to procure services locally to allow for connection and full installation of the equipment. However, during the process of design of the system it became more and more apparent from both a technical and financial perspective, that the supplier is the only plausible contractor able to undertake this work. The original tender did include requirements for a turnkey solution."
Energy storage for combustion turbine using molten carbonate electrolyzer cell Patent number: 11619167 Abstract: An energy storage system includes: a reformer configured to receive natural gas and steam and to output reformed natural gas; a combustion turbine configured to output heated sweep gas; and a molten carbonate electrolyzer cell (“MCEC”) including: an MCEC anode, and an MCEC cathode configured to receive the heated sweep gas from the combustion turbine. The energy storage system is configured such that: when no excess power is available, the combustion turbine receives the reformed natural gas from the reformer, and when excess power is available, the MCEC operates in a hydrogen-generation mode in which the MCEC anode receives the reformed natural gas from the reformer, and outputs MCEC anode exhaust that contains hydrogen. Type: Grant Filed: January 24, 2022 Date of Patent: April 4, 2023 Assignee: FuelCell Energy, Inc. Inventor: Fred C. Jahnke
