First Trust/abrdn Global Opportunity Income Fund (the Fund), formerly First Trust/Aberdeen Global Opportunity Income Fund, is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund's primary investment objective is to seek a high level of current income. The Fund also seeks capital appreciation. The Fund invests its managed assets in the bond markets through a diversified portfolio of investment grade and below-investment grade government and corporate debt securities. The Fund may invest up to 60% of its managed assets in non-investment grade securities. It invests in various industries, including investments, sovereigns, banks, integrated oils, metals and mining, utilities, exploration and production, refining and marketing, financial services, power generation, real estate, chemicals, life insurance, wireless telecommunications services, transportation and logistics, software and services, and food and beverage.
