  • There was short selling behind the latest drops in Airbus, helped by a fake report during the weekend in the Financial Times newspaper.

    • Whats the cause of this downtrend? Are the earnings very low? Or is this caused due to covid-19 cases?

      • For the first time in history, the A320 and a321 show their true profit margins around 20%, since the other programs pushed the profit of airbus down. Now that the A350 post profits, the A220 decreases cost, and no A380 losses anymore, Airbus profits will explode to what they are supposed to be, 4-5 billion this year, the highest they ever had by far.  Short sellers don't like that, so they increase their short position hoping that Supercovid will arrive. Meanwhile the whole world opens up more and more.

      • People should stop finding a reason why a stock is low or high. This market makes no sense in the short term due to shorters and speculation. In the long run, airbus can only go up given their fundamentals and their massive improvements in the profit margin the last years. Airbus won't go with exciting A380 programs anymore which only costs money, but they are improving their other programs to post higher margins, solidifying their position as the leader in planemaking. Boeing can't compete cuz their best selling airplane 737max sells at a loss. Airbus sells more and more of their high margin A321 neo having a monopoly at this segment, while no one wants the 737 max 10 cuz it is just bad (much lower range, much lower seats). What do you think will happen this decade? Boeing will barely hold on paying their massive debt of 70 billion, while Airbus will reap the benefit of their work of increasing margins per plane more and more. The 2020s will be a massacre. Boeing will survive, but not live. Airbus will thrive. The Q2 earnings showed that this process is happening even faster than expected. Analyst said the earnings were 'blow-out' and 'unexpected'. But people who are into aviation expected it.

                • Just in: British airline and holiday group Jet2 Plc said on Tuesday it would buy 15 more Airbus A321 NEO aircraft, valued at $2 billion at current list price, as airlines gear up for a travel rebound in Europe. The latest purchase comes just over a month after Jet2 unveiled a deal to buy dozens of Airbus jets, switching loyalties from U.S. planemaker Boeing.

                  • Dont get fooled by the market day to day moves, things are improving for Airbus. Today in a research note published by Neil Glynn, Credit Suisse advises its customers to buy the stock. The target price is unchanged and still at EUR 137.
