The rebound is coming. It has another year or two but when it does it's going to be a big payday. Fleet utilitization levels average 98%-99%, the cost of shipping is going through the roof, the sector as a whole has been bottomed for some time, fleets are aging and quality used vessels are being bought up very quickly. Overhead margins are generally low operations are efficient, like Spartans ( and the oil industry) the companies that have survived this latest bust cycle are the lean, streamlined profit generating machines they need to be to survive the last 10 years. When demand gets to be to high they will commission new hulls from shipbuilders, who will ramp up production as lead times come back then get extreme, then the glut of new tonnage added will tank the market again. Shipping industry is definitely a predictable beast.
