Ciena Corporation (Ciena) is a networking systems, services and software company. The Company operates through four segments: Networking Platforms, Platform Software and Services, Blue Planet Automation Software and Services, and Global Services. Its Networking Platforms segment consists of its Converged Packet Optical and Routing and Switching portfolios. Its Platform Software and Services segment provides domain control management, analytics, data and planning tools and applications to assist customers in managing their networks. Its Blue Planet Automation Software and Services segment includes multi-domain service orchestration (MDSO), inventory management (BPI), route optimization and analysis (ROA), network function virtualization orchestration (NFVO), and unified assurance and analytics (UAA). This is a nearly debt free double digit growth and future oriented high quality company. I had to buy few stocks, because the 30% price reduction makes this stock very cheap. The reason for the huge price fall is the forecast for the next few monthes is not good, everything is good afterwards.

This is one of the most overblown sell-offs I’ve seen in a while. They’re gaining market share in 5G which is going to continue to grow over the coming years. Also, if the Huawei ban stays it will benefit Ciena even more internationally.
