Look for 43.5-44 as support , and buy it there if it will bounce from it, or even earlier.

Results out. Killed it! Panels, projects, china float, storage and the new battery business, and a pipeline for continued massive growth. Parabolic soon. http://investors.canadiansolar.com/news-releases/news-release-details/canadian-solar-reports-fourth-quarter-and-full-year-2020-results

Karl Hannon  Earnings report comes tomorrow with presumably bad results and negative outlook for next Q. However, it's safe to say it's priced in to some degree.

Sell? Idk. To be honest selling at this point has a high risk of getting left behind when it goes back up. I'd buy more, but I already invested a lot in this and kind of don't want to bet everything on one horse in case I'm wrong

@Ahmed - A lot of the solar industry is trading at insane multiples. And a lot of the stocks are ***in TAN. So when these other stocks fall, CSIQ and JKS and other reasonably valued stocks drop too - creating good buying opportunities. As the entire market unwinds, eyes will begin to turn towards value as the best place to put their money. Also, for some reason people think that the problems in Texas mean that renewables are going down - nothing could be further from the truth. The grid needs to be expanded massively throughout the US, and that will include renewables (as well as natural gas). CSIQ is one of the best bargains in the entire market IMO.

no, but that's exactly what he said. Rest of the industry is trading at p/e 50+, sometimes even 100+, but because they all are entangled with the same ETF, CSIQ falls with the rest of them. Even though CSIQ is actually undervalued, it is hurt by its peers

Sorry - I just discovered how the reply threads work here - I never noticed it before. But yes, as Härkä pointed out, I was talking about the other components of TAN that are trading at very, very high multiples. CSIQ and JKS, on the other hand, are insanely low in their valuation. Especially considering that they are going to list subsdiaries on the Shanghai Star Exchange later this year, and a comparable competitor (Longi) is currently trading at closer to 50X earnings. The values of these subsidiaries alone (even after floating a minority stake in China) are going to be much higher than the total market cap they currently have in the US. Looks like a slam dunk to me. Might take a few months to play out, but the news about the listings will keep rolling in as the process advances. Both are scheduled for listing later this year.

@Mateusz - I think you're seeing a lot of unwinding in the solar sector because a lot of the valuations have been stretched, and a lot of solar investment is tied together in TAN. So CSIQ is unwinding with the other stocks, but the difference is that CSIQ wasn't stretched to begin with (same goes for JKS). I'd wait it out if you got in at 60. A market cap of just 3 billion for CSIQ is very, very modest considering their growth rates, business model, market position, management, etc. GL

Best cash flow management in the industry. Best development and sale of utility scale plants. Innovative project development model in Japan using the stock market, where shareholders buy shares in plants. CSIQ poised for big time jump in 2021 with Chinese carve-out IPO and continued exponential growth of solar as the new holder of the throne as cheapest source of energy (since 2020). Good entry point opening up today.

Also, Goldman Sachs just raised target price from $43 to $48. Sounds more reasonable but I still feel like it's undervalued.
