  • Selling the spot Bitcoin for a credit in millions, making sure no new shares are created by halting creation units, then simply buying in the open market and removing those shares completely until the CMV hits the spot...then its back to premiums. This is the number on holding of bitcoin that are trading in the USA USA USA markets and you can forget 100 percent non-USA markets that's for sure. Many funds are not allowed to buy off exchanges unless its in their prospectus. It won't be long and we'll be above spot WITH NO NEW SHARES CREATED. Lets clean up those weak hands.

    • I don't know about that. I agree with what you're saying in the short term. They can tighten of the discount, and perhaps get a small premium temporarily. But, eventually the US will start having cryto ETF's. Once that happens the problem starts all over again. The best solution, I can see, is if they start their own ETF, then roll their trusts into that, if that's even possible. I'm not really smart enough to know a solution, but I can see this as being a chronic problem.

    • supply/demand, grayscale program is vesting and payouts are getting out faster than they can sell more. with etfs on the way, this arrangement is done! btcc.u is tracking btc, so why own this disconnection?
